How to remove semi-permanent tattoos

In daily life, tattoos are very familiar to many people. Tattoos are the process of transferring pigments through the skin to the dermis, so they will not fade. With the continuous development of real society, tattoos are divided into many types, including semi-permanent tattoos. Semi-permanent tattoos are also very difficult to clean. Generally, laser therapy or surgical treatment is required to remove tattoos.

How to remove semi-permanent tattoos?

1. Laser therapy

The laser is applied to the affected area to break the pigment particles into tiny fragments, which are then excreted through skin shedding, or through blood circulation and cell phagocytosis to complete pigment metabolism. This method does not damage other skin tissue and leaves no scars after the operation. It is the preferred method for treating tattoos, but it is slightly more expensive.

2. Chemical etching method

It uses a relatively dilute weak acid solution to cause superficial burns on the skin, causing the pigment to fall off along with the necrotic tissue.

3. Skin grinding

It uses a special high-speed rotating grinding wheel to grind away the superficial layer of the skin to achieve the purpose of removing pigments.

4. Surgical resection

For deeper tattoo patterns, the above methods are often ineffective and surgical excision and suturing are the only options, but this may leave scars.

When using laser, chemical corrosion, or grinding for treatment, each treatment should not be too deep. If it is not completely removed in one go, a second treatment can be performed. There should be an interval of 1-3 months between each treatment. If the area cleaned is not too deep each time, scars will generally not be left.

5. High frequency electronic watch hands

The principle is to use electric current to generate high-voltage electric sparks to burn the skin, dehydrate it and carbonize it, causing skin cells to die, form scabs, and fall off, taking away the color (the same principle as a skin-sweeping machine). It can wash shallow colors (no more than 0.2?) without leaving scars, because the epidermis has the function of horizontal growth. However, deep colors are difficult to wash off, and the burned deep skin will leave a layer called "semi-carbonized hardened layer tissue" (just like a burnt corner of paper will leave a yellow mark on the interface), which affects the upward growth of deep tissues, so washing deep will definitely leave scars.

6. Traditional Chinese medicine tattoo removal

Many people mistakenly believe that Chinese medicine is non-corrosive, non-flammable, safe and reliable. For example, "mole removal cream" is made from traditional Chinese medicine, but its principle is chemical cautery. If a small amount of it is used on local diseased cells, the diseased tissue can be burned and carbonized to achieve the purpose of mole removal. The effect is very good. Because the dosage is not large, the damage to the surrounding good tissues is not great. Even if there is a little damage, the good tissues can be easily repaired quickly. However, if it is used in large quantities on normal skin, excessive burning will produce sunken scars. If the skin is disturbed and damaged by long-term, slow burning, it will produce hypertrophic scars due to excessive continuous repair.

7. A dose + B dose

This method has been used in the beauty industry for a long time. It uses diluted sulfuric acid to corrode the skin. There is no problem using it on the epidermis, but it will leave scars if used on the dermis. The principle is chemical burning.

8. Freezing to remove pigment

Liquid nitrogen evaporates from "liquid" to "gas" at minus 169 degrees Celsius, taking away some of the moisture in the skin, causing the skin to die and regenerate. The disadvantage is that liquid nitrogen sprays out gas, the area is difficult to control, and it is easy to cause blisters, infection and scarring after freezing.
