Tips for treating eyelid twitching

Tips for treating eyelid twitching

In traditional life experience, "the left eye represents wealth, the right eye represents disaster." Eyelid twitching is sometimes a good thing and a sign of good luck in the lives of all kinds of people. This is an unscientific statement! Modern medical research has proved that eyelid twitching is a disease with the academic name "eyelid twitching", which is more common in adults. If it happens occasionally, no treatment is needed and it can heal on its own. However, if it persists for a long time and does not stop, medical treatment must be taken. Here are some tips for treating eyelid twitching!

There are two causes. One is lack of rest and sleep, or it is due to anemia, excessive smoking and drinking. One is caused by eye diseases, such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, conjunctivitis, keratitis...

Eyelid twitching is something that everyone may encounter in life, and for most people, it will disappear on its own in a short period of time. Therefore, when your eyelids just twitch, do not seek treatment immediately, but pay more attention to rest, relax your mind, and maintain a good attitude; at the same time, strengthen local hot compresses, and pay attention to observe whether the eyelid twitching is gradually decreasing or increasing, whether there is a trend of downward expansion, and a linear pulling sensation from the area around the eyes to the corners of the mouth. In addition, look in the mirror, take a look, and touch to see if there is any obvious atrophy (depression). If your eyelids are still twitching after a week, you should go to a professional medical institution for diagnosis and treatment.

1. Get enough sleep

Adequate sleep can effectively solve the problem of eye fatigue and is very effective in preventing eyelid twitching.

If you don't get enough sleep due to staying up late to read or play games at night, it will not be conducive to eliminating eye fatigue and may even cause damage.

In addition, excessive stress and emotional tension can reduce tear secretion and cause eye fatigue. Therefore, pay attention to controlling your emotions and try to keep calm.

2. Keep the room air fresh and the humidity appropriate

You should not use the computer or watch TV for too long, because these electronic products have a lot of radiation, which can easily cause dry and tired eyes if used for a long time.

If the room is also dry or the air is polluted due to smoking, it will cause greater damage to the eyes.

Therefore, the room should be ventilated frequently, and a humidifier should be installed in the air-conditioned room to keep the humidity at around 70% to create a clean and comfortable environment for the eyes.

3. Prevent UV rays

Ultraviolet rays are the main cause of eye fatigue. Therefore, when doing outdoor activities, no matter how old you are, you should wear sunglasses to prevent ultraviolet rays and protect your eyes.

Ultraviolet rays can penetrate ordinary glass, so when outdoors, avoid strong sunlight and wear sunglasses.

Use UV-blocking resin glasses that fit your face shape.

4. Pay attention to lighting and posture

When reading, the light should illuminate the entire room and the book. Choose a non-flickering desk lamp, keep your back straight, and keep your eyes about 30 cm away from the book. When watching TV, keep a distance of about 2 meters from the TV and look slightly downward.
