What's wrong with greasy and sticky stools?

Occasional sticky stools are a very common phenomenon. Generally, it does not need to be treated. It is a normal phenomenon and may be related to diet. You just need to pay a little attention to your diet. However, if the stools are sticky frequently, you must pay attention to it. It may be caused by intestinal diseases. It is best to go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible, find out the cause, and then receive targeted treatment.

What are the symptoms of intestinal diseases?

1. Lack of appetite when intestinal lesions occur

It may be caused by disorders in intestinal digestion, absorption or motility. However, there are many reasons for loss of appetite. In addition to gastrointestinal diseases, it can also be caused by mental factors, drug reactions or other organ diseases.

2. Nausea and vomiting when intestinal lesions occur

This symptom often occurs when there is high intestinal obstruction or abnormal intestinal motility.

3. Abdominal pain when intestinal lesions occur

Acute abdominal pain can occur due to intestinal inflammation, intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, intestinal loop ischemia, etc. Intestinal tumors or chronic inflammatory lesions often cause persistent abdominal pain.

4. Diarrhea occurs when the intestines are diseased

Acute diarrhea is often related to intestinal bacterial infection, bacterial toxins or other harmful substances that damage the intestinal mucosa. Chronic diarrhea is often related to diseases such as absorption dysfunction and tachyintestinal motility caused by various reasons. Chronic diarrhea caused by small intestinal diseases is often accompanied by malabsorption, and diarrhea caused by colon diseases is often seen in chronic inflammation or tachycocytosis.

5. Constipation occurs when there is intestinal disease

Intestinal motility is weakened, the tension of the intestinal wall muscle layer is reduced, and the colon and rectum become narrow due to inflammation or tumors, which can cause constipation. Constipation can also be caused by medications, changes in lifestyle, eating too little or too little, or too little fiber in food. Therefore, constipation does not necessarily mean that there is an organic disease in the intestine.

6. Abnormal bowel movements when intestinal lesions occur

Abnormal bowel movements refer to discomfort and physical discomfort during bowel movements, with recent changes in the frequency, color and shape of bowel movements. If there is spurt-like discharge of blood during defecation, or fresh blood dripping after defecation, the blood is not mixed with feces, the amount of bleeding varies, and there is a foreign body in the anus, it may be hemorrhoids. If the onset is sudden, accompanied by abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, the amount of blood in the stool is not large and is often mixed with feces, the bowel movements are frequent, there is a feeling of tenesmus and abdominal tenderness, it may be bacterial dysentery.

7. Farting occurs when the intestines are diseased

In fact, farts are not a single gas, but a mixture of multiple gases, including hydrogen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, indole, volatile skatole, etc. High-protein foods produce a lot of hydrogen sulfide (the smell of rotten eggs) when they spoil, so they have a special smell. Generally speaking, the more delicious the food you eat (meat, fried food), the smellier your farts will be. If you eat coarse rice or light rice, the smell will be less. If you fart a lot and they often have a foul odor, it means that you are eating too much protein and your stomach is burdened too much. You should reduce your diet or immediately switch to a vegetarian diet to prevent gastrointestinal diseases.
