Gentle moxibustion: Place the index and middle fingers of your left hand on both sides of the moxibustion site, 1 to 2 cm away from the moxibustion site. On the one hand, one can sense the degree of heat on the skin; on the other hand, if moxibustion is performed vertically, once the moxa ash falls on the skin, it can be remedied immediately. Moxibustion should be continued until the skin becomes slightly warm and rosy, but the skin should not be burned.

Rotational moxibustion: On the basis of gentle moxibustion, moxibustion 2 to 6 acupoints each time. If one acupoint hurts a little, switch to another one immediately. Repeat this sequence. When each acupoint and the skin around it becomes rosy, moxibustion can be stopped. Rotational moxibustion can save time and achieve the purpose of preventing and treating diseases.

Bird-pecking moxibustion: The burning end of the moxa stick is not fixed to the acupuncture point. Like a bird pecking at food, it is aimed at the acupuncture point and moves up and down, up and down.

Rotating moxibustion: also known as ironing moxibustion, hang the lit end of the moxa stick over the moxibustion area, 2 cm away from the skin, and move it horizontally up and down and left and right to make the skin feel warm without burning pain.

Blistering moxibustion: Keep the lit end of the moxa stick 1 cm away from the skin. When you feel pain, continue to hold for 3 to 5 seconds. Yellow spots may appear at the acupuncture points and sweat may occur. Blisters will form after 1 to 2 hours. It is not advisable to prick the blisters after they form, as they can be absorbed naturally. There will be pigmentation in the short term, but no scars will be left.
