How to deal with burns caused by hot air

In daily life, skin burns are common, especially in summer when people wear very little and are easily burned. For example, a thermos kettle accidentally explodes or is knocked over, which can cause burns. Many people don’t know what to do after being burned. In fact, taking immediate measures after a burn is critical to the treatment of burns, and post-scalding care is also very important. So how do you deal with burns from heat?

What should I do if my hands are burned by heat?

If these burns occur, don't panic or rush to take off thin clothes such as sweatshirts and stockings. Instead, rinse with cold water immediately. Wait until it cools down before you can carefully take off your underwear to avoid tearing the blisters formed by the burn. The purpose of cold water flushing is to relieve pain, reduce exudation and swelling, and thus avoid or reduce blister formation. The flushing time should be about half an hour or more, until you no longer feel pain when you stop flushing. The general water temperature is about 20℃. Avoid using ice water to avoid frostbite. If the burn is on your fingers, you can also take a cold water bath. Cold compresses can be used on areas such as the face that cannot be washed or bathed. After cold water treatment, wipe the wound dry, then apply a thin layer of blue oil hydrocarbon, green ointment or other ointment medicines, and then bandage it appropriately for 1 to 2 days to prevent blisters. But the face can only be exposed and does not need to be bandaged. If blisters are formed, you can use a sterile syringe to suck out the water or cut a small hole to release the water; if the blisters are broken, wipe them dry with a sterile cotton ball to keep them dry and prevent the water from accumulating into lumps. If you burn 1 or 2 fingers, you can also use a simple method - immerse them in soy sauce. Just soak your fingers in a small cup of soy sauce. It will relieve pain in about half an hour without causing blisters. After a burn, avoid applying gentian violet or mercurochrome to avoid affecting the observation of changes in the wound. Large or severe burns should be sent to the hospital immediately after general emergency care at home.

In case of skin burns, pay attention to keeping the wound clean and dry, and avoid soaking it in water again after rinsing with cold water. The wound will dry after about 2 to 3 days. There is no need to apply medicine at this time. The scab will fall off and heal in about 10 days. If it does not heal by then, you should ask your doctor to see if it is due to a deep burn or infection. Antibiotics are generally not used after burns. If the wound is still red and swollen and the pain increases after 1 to 2 days, there is suspected infection. Treatment should be sought under the guidance of a doctor to avoid unnecessary pain.

Tips for treating burns caused by heat

Treatment for burns: First rinse the injured area with cold water, then soak the injured area in cold water for half an hour. Generally speaking, the earlier the soaking time and the lower the water temperature (not lower than 5℃ to avoid frostbite), the better the effect. However, if the injured area has blistered and broken, do not soak it to prevent infection.

Second treatment for burns: Gently apply light salt water to the burned area to reduce inflammation. Treatment of burns: Apply soy sauce, honey, lard, dog fat, or ginger juice to the injured area.

Treatment of burns: Mix egg white, cooked honey or sesame oil and apply to the injured area, which has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.

Treatment of burns 5: Cut a few slices of raw pear and apply them to the burns, which has astringent and analgesic effects.

Treatment of burns: After a child is burned, boil 25 grams of black beans with water to make a thick juice, apply it to the burn, it is effective.

Treatment of burns 7: For mild burns, you can roast dry waste tea leaves over fire until they are slightly charred, then grind them into powder, mix them with vegetable oil to make a paste, and apply it to the injured area to reduce swelling and relieve pain.

Treatment for burns 8: After the skin of hands and feet is burned, immediately pour alcohol into a basin or bucket, and immerse the entire injured area in the alcohol. This will relieve pain and reduce redness, and prevent blistering. If soaked for 1 to 2 hours, the burned skin will gradually return to normal. If the injured area is not in a location that is easily soaked, you can soak a piece of cotton wool in white wine, take it out and apply it to the injured area, and pour wine on the cotton wool at any time to prevent it from drying out. Good results can be achieved after several hours.

Treatment of burns 9: When the skin is burned by oil or boiling water, you can apply Fengyoujing, Wanhua Oil or vegetable oil (such as sesame oil) directly to the wound surface. If the skin is not broken, the pain can usually be relieved in 5 minutes.
