How to improve self-control

Self-control, or self-control, is a relatively important ability for a person. Only by being able to control one's self-control well can one take the initiative in life, work and study. For people with poor self-control, they can be trained through certain methods, such as setting goals and clarifying what the goals are. We need to improve our personal cognitive abilities, etc.

How to Improve Self-Control

First: When doing something, what is your goal? Why do we insist on jogging in the morning every day? Isn’t it just to have a healthy body and a happy mood? If we only run for one or two days and call it a day, will we achieve the goal we insist on? No matter what we do, we have to set a goal. Only when we set a goal and keep sticking to it can we succeed.

Second: Why are you doing this? If you go jogging in the morning to be healthy and happy, then move towards health and happiness. Don't worry about leaving the warm bed, don't be upset because a stone on the road trips you, and don't be upset about temporary failure. If we fail, we can continue tomorrow, but if you are angry, your morning jog will be in vain.

Third: Improve your cognitive ability. If you encounter a problem and find that you only have one or two solutions, then you need to strengthen your thinking. If you don’t, your thinking will become more and more narrow, your mood will become more and more irritable, and your self-control will become worse and worse. In normal times, you can read more books and participate in some extreme sports to strengthen yourself.

Fourth: Think more about your goals when you encounter something. When you encounter something, think about whether this thing will affect your goal. If so, then please decisively give up that thing and stick to your goal.

Fifth: Be patient in everything. Just as water can wear away a stone, patience can accomplish anything. Don't be anxious when encountering things, but calm down first, carefully analyze the consequences of various actions, and choose the right path.

Sixth: Don’t just stay in theory, apply it in practice. Talking about things on paper is always illusory. Learning theory well is not as good as applying it in reality. Theory only points us in the direction, but to reach the distant place, we need to bravely take the first step, followed by the second step, and the third step. . . . . . Until success.
