Chickenpox disinfection method

Chickenpox disinfection method

Everyone knows that chickenpox is a disease caused by herpes zoster infection, so this phenomenon occurs because there is a virus in the patient's body. The site where chickenpox occurs must be carefully disinfected to prevent chickenpox from leaving scars. There are many ways to disinfect chickenpox. Generally, when you go to the doctor, you will be given some special medicines. So how should you disinfect chickenpox?

1Varicella is an acute infectious disease caused by primary infection with varicella-zoster virus. It mainly occurs in infants and preschool children, and is more common in winter and spring. It is highly contagious. Chickenpox patients are the only source of infection. It is contagious from 1 to 2 days before the onset of the disease until the rash dries and crusts. It can be transmitted by contact or inhalation of droplets. The incidence rate in susceptible children can reach more than 95%. The disease is a self-limiting disease and generally does not leave scars. If combined with bacterial infection, scars will be left. Lifelong immunity can be obtained after the disease.

Regarding the disinfection and isolation of chickenpox, the following points should be achieved:

(1) Clothes, blankets, towels, dressings, toys, tableware, etc. that have come into contact with varicella herpes fluid should be disinfected by washing, drying, ironing, boiling or burning according to the circumstances, and should not be shared with healthy people. For example, tableware, clothes and other items that are resistant to high temperature and high humidity can be boiled or steamed in boiling water; children's toys can be wiped or sprayed with 75% medical alcohol; useless waste can be incinerated, etc.

(2) Patients should change their clothes and bedding frequently and keep their skin clean.

(3) Open windows regularly to ventilate the room, keep the indoor air fresh, and effectively reduce the number of viruses in the indoor environment. But be careful to prevent the patient from catching cold when ventilating. Let as much sunlight into the room as possible and open the glass windows.

(4) Avoid scratching the herpes with your hands. Be especially careful not to scratch the acne on your face, so as to avoid purulent infection caused by scratching the herpes. If the lesions are deep, they may leave scars. To prevent this from happening, the child's nails should be trimmed short and hands should be kept clean.
