Rats are not animals we like, otherwise there wouldn't be the saying that if a rat crosses the street, everyone will shout and beat it. We hate mice because they eat our food. In the early years, food was stored in barns. After a long time, we would find that the rice in the barns had empty shells because the food had been eaten by mice. Rats not only eat food but also bite people. What should you do if you are bitten by a house mouse and it bleeds?

In daily life, if you are bitten by a rat, you should use some disinfection methods and go to the hospital for treatment or examination in time. If you go to the hospital for vaccination, you must observe your body temperature at any time within a week, and be sure not to overwork when resting in bed.

Rinse the wound with alcohol: The first reaction after being bitten is to disinfect it. Generally, if the wound is not treated, the incidence rate is only 2-4%, and it will be even lower after disinfection. Therefore, use alcohol to kill the virus before it infects you after being bitten. Medical alcohol has the best disinfectant effect. You can find this kind of alcohol in any small pharmacy. If the wound is small and only a layer of skin is broken, you just need to wipe it with a cotton swab. If the wound is deeper, you can pour rubbing alcohol on the wound to rinse it.

Go to the hospital to get vaccinated: Generally infectious diseases have a certain incubation period, so it is useful to get vaccinated before the onset of the disease. Generally, the injection is serum, which is relatively expensive, costing about 200 yuan per injection.

[Common situations after being bitten by rats]

1. Plague: The main clinical manifestations are high fever, swollen and painful lymph nodes, bleeding tendency, special lung inflammation, etc.

2. Symptoms of hemorrhagic fever: Most cases develop suddenly after an incubation period of 7 to 21 days. The disease is acute, progresses rapidly, and the symptoms are severe. Fever occurs at the onset of the disease, and the body temperature rises sharply to above 39°C; accompanied by "three pains" (headache, eye socket pain, and back pain) and "three reds" (flushing and congestion of the face, neck, and upper chest). In addition, after the onset of the disease, bleeding spots can be seen on the upper palate and pharynx of the mouth, and linear lines of bleeding spots can be seen in the armpits.

3. Symptoms of typhus: Mostly acute onset, with persistent fever and headache, body temperature mostly between 39℃ and 40℃ (accounting for 72.10%), accompanied by joint and muscle pain, cough and other symptoms. The main signs include facial congestion, rash, pharyngeal congestion, and hepatosplenomegaly.

How to prevent mice at home

1. One reason why mice appear in the house is that there is a lot of food at home. The first step to prevent and control rats is to put all the grains, feeds, foods and anything else that rats can eat into sealed containers.

2. Do not pile up garbage at home, and clean up the garbage on the same day. Clean your home regularly, dispose of worn-out clothes promptly, and do not provide rats with shelter. In particular, food waste must be cleaned up in a timely manner to avoid giving rats any food.

3. Air-conditioning ducts and other pipes connected to the outside world, as well as small holes left by cables entering the room should be sealed with cement, and the inspection holes on the ceiling should be covered with boards. All holes that are identical to the outside world must be blocked.

4. Install rat-proof nets at the junction of the drain and waterway in the kitchen, and cover the drain of the toilet. In short, these hidden holes should also be blocked or netted to prevent rats from having any chance to enter the room.

5. The windows of the basement and the first floor and the holes for ventilation to the outside world should be installed with wire mesh covers with a mesh size of 13x13mm. These mesh covers can prevent mice from getting in.
