Stomach pain is actually heart death

Stomach pain is actually heart death

There is some truth to the saying that stomach pain is actually cardiac death, but it is not actually that serious. Stomach pain is usually caused by stomach disease, and heart disease can also cause stomach pain, but the two are very different. Stomach pain caused by heart disease rarely has severe pain and colic, and even if it occurs, it is accidental. Therefore, when similar situations occur, it is necessary to understand the situation so that better treatment can be provided.

20% to 60% of patients with acute myocardial infarction show symptoms at the beginning of the disease, but half of them fail to seek medical treatment in time when the symptoms appear.

Now is the high-incidence season for acute myocardial infarction. It is recommended that heart patients or people at high risk of heart disease do the following:

Avoid extreme mood swings and excessive excitement;

Adequate sleep should be ensured;

Don't eat too much, especially high-fat foods, quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption;

Do not stop taking long-term medications immediately, and do not take excessive amounts of antihypertensive drugs;

Prevent excessive bleeding and serious infection;

Do not engage in strenuous exercise or labor for long periods of time.

The elderly, obese people and people under high stress should eat small meals frequently, and focus on easily digestible, light meals rich in vitamins and protein, and eat less animal offal, fat, seafood, etc.

Do not move the patient during initial treatment

Some patients with acute myocardial infarction die within a few hours after the onset of the disease, mainly due to improper treatment in the early stage of the disease. For example, family members blindly move the patient, which causes twists and turns along the way and may lead to worsening of the condition.

First, pat the person who has fallen down and call out to him/her loudly. If the person has no obvious reaction, it can be basically determined that he/she has lost consciousness.

Next, determine whether the patient has a pulse by feeling the carotid artery.

Once the person falls to the ground and loses consciousness and his pulse stops, it can be determined that it is cardiac arrest.

During this process, call for help and dial 120 at the same time.
