What is the reason for looking old

With “baby faces”, there are naturally some people who look more “anxious”. This group of people are those who look older. In fact, looking old is not only related to a person's age, but also has a lot to do with his or her facial features and overall appearance. For example, a large face, a small proportion of eyes, an unreasonable proportion of the three parts of the face, a strong sense of facial bones, long and narrow lips, and stiff and sharp facial lines will all make a person look older!

1. A face with large volume appears mature, while a face with small and delicate volume appears youthful.

The most important basis for judging volume comes from our face shape and facial features. (Volume mainly refers to the feeling that the size of the face and facial features give us. Although body shape controls clothing size, size ≠ volume.)

People with fuller facial features and larger faces appear more mature. The delicate features and small face make her look younger.

2. In terms of the proportion of facial features, the eyes account for a smaller proportion, making the person look more mature.

If the volume is large, and this sense of volume mainly comes from the mouth and nose among the five senses, it will appear older:

A nose that is too long, wide and high, or lips that are too wide will reduce the proportion of the eyes. Facial features that are smaller on top and larger on the bottom are a sign of maturity.

If the sense of volume comes mainly from the eyes. The eyes are large in proportion and round in shape. This type of eyes is closer to children's eyes, so they will appear more lively, cute, innocent and youthful than narrow, wide and sharp eyes.

3. Proportion of the three parts: the middle and lower parts are long and mature

It can also be said that relatively high positions of the eyes, nose and ears make one appear mature; conversely, relatively high positions make one appear youthful. A long nose and a long philtrum have made great contributions to increasing the length of the middle and lower parts of the face, and both fall within the category of downward distribution of the length of the three parts of the face.

4. Narrow and long face with strong bone structure shows maturity

The change in facial shape from childhood to old age is a process in which the round face shape is gradually elongated. And when we were young, our faces were rounder and our cheeks were fuller and rounder. As we age, the underside of the cheekbones becomes sunken, and the cheekbones or apple cheeks become more three-dimensional.

In addition to the well-known fact that prominent cheekbones and depressions below the cheekbones make people look older, sunken eye sockets and protruding eye sockets can also make people look older.

5. Red lips shrink inward, lips are narrow and long, and lips are sharp, which makes you look old.

This is a very prominent and stable change in facial aging. It is a label of aging in our subconscious. For people with thin and wide lips, this problem will become more prominent as they age, and they will look very old.

6. Hard and sharp lines and angles on the face make you look mature, while soft and smooth lines make you look youthful.

An angular face shape or sharp angles in the facial features and surrounding areas will make us look less childish and more mature, or even give people a harsh impression.

Looking more mature than peers is often the result of multiple factors. There are many common ones, such as many facial lines, loose skin, sagging facial features, dull and mottled skin tone, receding hairline... These are the aging process that everyone must go through as time goes by. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and taking proper care of yourself can slow down the aging process to a certain extent.
