The difference between a cold cup and a thermos cup

A cold cup is also called a low-temperature cup, but when we buy cups, we will naturally choose a thermos cup. Few people will buy a cold cup because everyone likes to drink hot water. A thermos cup is a thermos cup, which usually has a lid and is well sealed, making it convenient to drink water, but it will not cause burns. A thermos cup can store very hot water, but the water temperature will not change so quickly.

What is the difference between a cold cup and a thermos cup?

A cold cup is also a thermos cup, but a thermos cup usually has a lid (sealed to keep the cup warm) as a cup, which makes it convenient to hold water for drinking without getting burned. The ice cup is designed for direct drinking, of course, in fact, their insulation effect is the same. But be careful not to put too hot water in the cold cup, because if you are careless and drink it directly, you will get burned.

The qualities a good thermos cup should have: the cup body is elegant in shape, smooth in appearance, the pattern and color are evenly printed, the edges are clear, the color matching is accurate, and the adhesion is firm; the inner liner of the cup body is very flat, all of which are seamlessly sealed with stainless steel materials, and are refined with advanced vacuuming technology; the sealing cover is made of "PP" plastic material, which is harmless to heat, and there is no gap between the cup cover and the cup body after tightening, and the seal is good.

The time a thermos cup can keep hot or cold depends on the size ratio of the cup body and cup mouth: a thermos cup with a large capacity and a small diameter can keep hot or cold for a longer time; conversely, a thermos cup with a small capacity and a large diameter can keep hot or cold for a shorter time. The heat loss of the thermos cup mainly comes from the heat conduction of the PP sealing cover, the vacuum process of the inner wall (absolute vacuum is impossible), the polishing, aluminum foil wrapping, copper plating, silver plating, etc. of the outer wall of the inner wall.

How to choose a thermos cup

There are many varieties of stainless steel thermos cups sold on the market, and the prices vary greatly. For some consumers, they do not understand the principles behind them, and often spend a lot of money but still cannot buy satisfactory products. How can I buy a high-quality vacuum flask?

First of all, look at the appearance of the cup. First, check whether the inner and outer surfaces are evenly polished and whether there are any dents or scratches;

Second, check whether the mouth welding is smooth and consistent, which is related to whether it feels comfortable when drinking water;

Third, the quality of plastic parts is poor. It will not only affect the service life, but also affect the hygiene of drinking water;

Fourth, check whether the internal seal is tight. Check whether the screw plug and the cup body fit properly. Check whether it can be screwed in and out freely and whether there is any water leakage. Fill a cup with water and turn it upside down for four or five minutes or shake it vigorously a few times to verify whether there is a leak. Let’s look at the thermal insulation performance, which is the main technical indicator of the thermos bottle. It is generally impossible to check according to the standard when purchasing, but you can check by hand after filling it with hot water. The lower part of a non-insulated cup will heat up two minutes after being filled with hot water, while the lower part of an insulated cup will always be cool.

There are several specific methods:

1. Simple identification method of vacuum insulation performance: Pour boiling water into the thermos cup and tighten the stopper or cup lid clockwise for 2-3 minutes, then touch the outer surface of the cup with your hand. If the cup body is obviously warm, it means that the product has lost its vacuum degree and cannot achieve a good insulation effect.

2. Sealing performance identification method: After adding water to the cup, tighten the bottle stopper and cup lid in a clockwise direction, and place the cup flat on the table. There should be no water leakage; the cup lid and the cup mouth should be screwed together flexibly without any gap.
