Is there a piece of flesh outside the anus that feels soft?

People often say that eight out of ten people may suffer from hemorrhoids to a greater or lesser extent. If you feel something like a fleshy weight on the outside of the anus, this is actually a type of hemorrhoids. In this case, you need to develop good living habits, otherwise it will easily lead to worsening of hemorrhoids. Keep your bowels open, try to stay up late less, rest on time, eat less spicy food, and drink more water.

Symptoms of internal hemorrhoids

1. Prolapse: As the volume of hemorrhoids increases, they are squeezed by feces during defecation, causing them to gradually separate from the muscle layer and prolapse out of the anus. Sometimes 1-2 hemorrhoids prolapse at the same time, and sometimes all hemorrhoids and rectal mucosa prolapse together. At first, it only comes out during defecation and can return to its original position after defecation. Patients with more severe symptoms need to push the prolapse back by hand or rest in bed before it can be repositioned. For patients with very severe symptoms, in addition to prolapse during defecation, prolapse may also occur when exerting force, walking, coughing, sneezing, squatting, etc.

2. Blood in stool: Bleeding during or after defecation, bright red in color, sometimes with a small amount of blood on the surface of the stool, or staining toilet paper red, sometimes dripping or spurting blood. This is because feces abrades the mucosa, or because too much force is exerted during defecation, the pressure in the blood vessels increases, causing the varicose veins to rupture, resulting in spurt-like bleeding during defecation.

3. Mucus outflow: The rectal mucosa is stimulated by hemorrhoids for a long time, causing increased secretions. In the late stage of internal hemorrhoids, secretions often flow out of the anus due to relaxation of the anal sphincter. In mild cases, it will flow out during bowel movements, and in severe cases, it will flow out naturally even when not having a bowel movement, contaminating the underwear and causing great inconvenience to the patient. When internal hemorrhoids prolapse, the discharge is greater.

4. Pain: Simple internal hemorrhoids are generally painless, and sometimes only cause a feeling of heaviness in the anus or difficulty in defecation. If the hemorrhoids are inflamed and swollen, there may be thrombosis or incarceration inside, which will cause pain; if they are prolapsed and not repositioned in time, the pain will worsen; if incarceration occurs, there is ulceration and necrosis, causing inflammation and edema of the anal margin, the pain will be severe and the patient will be restless.

5. Internal hemorrhoid attack: The symptoms of internal hemorrhoids are usually mild and without much pain. However, if there is constipation or diarrhea, or if you are too tired, the symptoms will suddenly worsen, which is called an internal hemorrhoid attack.

Daily dietary taboos for patients with internal hemorrhoids

(1) High-fiber diet: Dietary fiber itself is not absorbed, but it can absorb water in the intestinal cavity to increase stool volume, stimulate the colon, and enhance motility. Foods rich in dietary fiber include wheat bran or brown rice, vegetables, and fruits rich in pectin such as mangoes and bananas (note: unripe fruits contain tannic acid which will aggravate constipation).

(2) Replenish water: Drink plenty of water. It is recommended to drink more than 1500 ml of water per day to keep the intestines sufficiently hydrated, which is beneficial for the excretion of feces.

(3) Provide sufficient amounts of B vitamins and folic acid: Enriching foods with B vitamins can promote the secretion of digestive juices, maintain and promote intestinal peristalsis, and facilitate defecation. Such as whole grains, yeast, beans and their products. Among vegetables, spinach and cabbage contain a lot of folic acid, which has a good laxative effect.

(4) Increase the intake of gas-producing foods: Eating more gas-producing foods can promote intestinal peristalsis and facilitate defecation, such as onions, radishes, garlic sprouts, etc.

(5) Increase fat supply: Appropriately increase high-fat food. Vegetable oil can directly moisturize the intestines, and the decomposition product fatty acids can stimulate intestinal peristalsis. The kernels of dried fruits (such as walnut kernels, pine nuts, various melon seeds, almonds, peach kernels, etc.) contain a lot of oil, which has the effect of lubricating the intestines and promoting bowel movements.
