What to do if your thigh twitches

What to do if your thigh twitches

Thigh twitching is also called cramps. Since the thigh muscles are relatively developed, this situation is very painful. There are many reasons for thigh cramps. The most common one is malnutrition, such as calcium and sodium deficiency. This type of cramp is generally not very serious. Thigh cramps that occur after strenuous exercise are very painful. Don't panic when this happens, there are many emergency measures.

Methods/Steps

1. When cramps occur, try to straighten the cramping leg as much as possible, not downward, but with all five toes pointing upward. Then lean forward and use both hands to stretch the big toe of the cramping foot. Do not bend your legs, otherwise it will not be effective. If you keep pulling like this for a minute or two, the cramping symptoms will disappear.

2. When your legs cramp, you can relieve it by jumping on one foot. My leg cramped, and I endured the pain, stood on the ground with the cramped leg, bent the other leg, and then lifted the heel up, pulling myself up with it. But remember, you must hold on to something to avoid falling.

3. When your leg cramps, the people around you can quickly get a hot towel and then use it to apply the hot towel to the calf of the cramping leg. Remember, when applying the mask, try to accompany it with massage, which is a very effective method to straighten cramps.

4. When someone around you has cramps, remember to sit opposite the person having cramps, put your hands together, place the sole of your foot against the other person's cramping leg, and then press hard on the other person's toes with your foot. Keep the other person's cramped leg straight, which will quickly relieve the cramp.

5. When your legs cramp, remember not to bend your legs or circle them, otherwise it will make the cramped area more painful. The best way is to stretch the muscles quickly to bring the strained tendons back to their original positions, and the pain will naturally stop.

6. When you have cramps, you can also stand on one foot with the leg that is not cramping, then bend the cramping leg backwards and lean it against your thigh. Then reach both hands behind your body, grab the foot of the cramping leg, and pull it up hard. This can also quickly relieve the symptoms of cramps.
