Everyone knows that honey has many functions, and different nectars can treat different diseases. For some farmed honey, the taste and function of this honey are often not as good as wild honey, so many people go to the mountains to find wild honey. Wild bee nests are generally in caves, and you need to master the method to get them. So how effective is vinegar against bees in caves? First, how effective is vinegar in dealing with bees in caves? Depending on the cave, you can use fumigation (which is time-consuming). Vinegar fumigation seems to be very effective, but there are some precautions. Second, it is most suitable in the season when the honey and pollen sources are better. In this way, they only need to be fed sugar once in the early stage. (This is different from swarming, where the worker bees have their stomachs full of bee food.) This will give them enough time to build a new nest. Once the bees build a nest and lay eggs, it will be stable for at least three months. Unless there are natural enemies, there will be too much interference. This is why the first floor should be avoided in late autumn and winter. If it is convenient, it is best to go at around 7 or 8 in the evening when it is a little dark. It's ok in the early morning when it's just getting light. But you have to be faster. When collecting bees, try to block the entrance of the hole before you collect them. Don't block it too tightly so that the bees can't get in or out. Then go again in half an hour to see if the bees lingering at the entrance of the hole enter from other possible holes. If so, continue to block them. If not, be ready and start around seven o'clock. Third, prepare tools. If you are a professional beekeeper, just take a beehive and put some nest frames with bee ticks on it, not many, just two. Fill the rest with straw to prevent damage to the beehive. Also bring a syringe, a bottle of rice vinegar (you won't need that much, but it's in a bottle anyway, so you can bring a whole bottle. You'll have an idea of how much you've used so you can gain experience). A tube that the bees can pass through. Before you go, pad the box first, and insert the tube into the beehive door and the box to see if there's a gap. If not, you can use a syringe to spray vinegar in. How effective is vinegar in dealing with bees in caves? The effect is quite good, so why not use fumigation? I have caught bees in caves, earth holes, and tree holes. Fumigation is a traditional method, but I don't think it is as effective as vinegar. Besides, if it is just a gap in a big rock, can the smoke get in? The smoke only goes upwards, unlike the smell of vinegar, which diffuses. |
