1. Women

(3) Gynecological diseases Gynecological endocrine diseases are very common. Endometriosis, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, and menstrual disorders are all gynecological endocrine diseases. Some breast diseases are also related to endocrine disorders.

(4) Obesity and eating habits such as lack of attention to dietary balance can also affect endocrine function.

2. Male

(1) Acne on the face is a mild manifestation of endocrine disorders, which can usually be corrected through self-adjustment.

(2) Pathological changes of testicular endocrine abnormalities: primary testicular dysfunction, the more common ones are Klinefelter syndrome, radiation damage, cytotoxic damage, malnutrition, etc.; secondary testicular dysfunction, such as Kallmam's syndrome, male pseudohermaphroditism due to androgen receptor deficiency, etc.

(3) Adrenal diseases Addison's disease (hypoadrenocortical insufficiency), Cushing's syndrome (hypercortisolism), feminizing adrenal cortical tumors, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, aldosteronism and other diseases can all cause male infertility due to endocrine disorders.

(4) Thyroid disease: Severe hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism can affect reproductive function due to endocrine disorders. When the thyroid gland is underactive, testosterone synthesis decreases, sperm production is inhibited, and sexual dysfunction occurs. Hyperthyroidism is often accompanied by male breast development, decreased libido, and impotence.

(5) Pituitary lesions: Hyperpituitarism, due to the influence of its endocrine gonadotropin, may cause increased sexual desire and changes in body shape in the early stages, followed by decreased sexual desire, semen abnormalities, impotence, and infertility. Hypopituitarism, such as pituitary tumors, inflammation, surgical injuries or radiotherapy that damage the pituitary gland, can lead to hypopituitarism, decreased sexual desire and sexual intercourse ability, testicular atrophy, and spermatogenesis disorders.
