Clavicular lymph node metastasis

Clavicular lymph node metastasis

Our neck is the place with the most lymph nodes, so we should try to eat less chicken necks and duck necks, because the lymph nodes in chicken necks and duck necks also contain some toxins, which can easily cause diseases in our body. The lymph nodes in the clavicle are movable, and when they are swollen, they are usually under the skin. So will the lymph nodes in the clavicle metastasize?

It can be said that lymph nodes are distributed throughout the human body. They are important immune organs of the human body. They are mainly divided into superficial lymph nodes and deep lymph nodes. Normal lymph nodes are generally 0.2 to 0.5 cm. Clinically, only various superficial lymph node tissues of the body can be examined. In healthy people, lymph nodes are very small. Normal lymph nodes are soft and smooth, not tender, and adhere to other tissues.

If the lymph node enlargement is caused by chronic inflammation, most of the time there are obvious infection lesions, which manifest as localized lymph node enlargement. The main symptom is that the lymph nodes in the jaw are more swollen and painful. They are usually no larger than 2 to 3 centimeters, are relatively soft, move more freely, and can be pushed. After anti-inflammatory treatment, there will be an obvious shrinking trend. When the lymph nodes gradually grow larger, you can touch them and feel several or a small lump under the skin of the neck, which is hard and painful. This is the swollen lymph nodes caused by the inflammation that we usually see. But when bacteria or viruses enter your blood vessels from the injured area, they will first attack the bacteria or viruses through the area to prevent the enemy from penetrating deeply into the inside. As each lymphocyte swallows a large number of bacteria, the lymph nodes will become larger and larger as a whole, pressing on other tissues and causing pain. Lymph nodes are very important immune organs in the body and are also warning organs for inflammation in the body.

Lymph node metastasis caused by tumor recurrence and metastasis will also manifest as swollen lymph nodes, but unlike that caused by inflammation, most primary cancer lesions are in the head and neck, especially nasopharyngeal carcinoma and thyroid cancer metastasis are more common. Lymph node enlargement caused by tumors manifests as large, hard lymph nodes appearing in the neck or supraclavicular fossa. At first, they are unilateral, painless and can be pushed. Soon, multiple lymph nodes will appear and invade other surrounding tissues. At this time, the tumor will show nodular rotation, fixed local or radiating pain. In late stages, necrosis may occur, leading to ulcers, infection, and even bleeding.

Generally, if people over 45 years old have recent painless and persistent swelling of the cervical lymph nodes, without acute inflammation or other symptoms, and if two weeks of anti-inflammatory treatment are ineffective, especially if the lymph nodes are hard and the surrounding tissues are adhered, they need to go to the hospital to rule out cancer metastasis in time.
