What to do if pus comes out after ear piercing

Many girls love beauty. When I see other people wearing glittering gold earrings, I want to get my ears pierced too. The best time to get your ears pierced is around the Qingming Festival in spring, but people who get their ears pierced often suffer from ear inflammation and pus discharge. This may be because the ears were not cleaned in time, resulting in bacterial infection and pus discharge. Let’s take a look at what to do if pus comes out after ear piercing.

Methods/Steps

The timing of earring piercing is very important. The best time is at the end of March and the end of September every year because the weather is just right, neither too cold nor too hot. At other times, it is either too cold or too hot, which is not conducive to ear repair. In the hot summer, people sweat a lot and washing their hair and taking a bath can easily cause ear piercing infection. The weather is too cold in winter, and piercing your ears can easily cause frostbite. Putting on and taking off a turtleneck sweater can also easily scratch the original ear holes.

Time required to replace earrings:

Never listen to people who have pierced their ears and tell them that you can replace them after three days. It will not make it easy for the ears to heal properly and it can easily cause inflammation.

Be sure to take them off when you rotate the earrings and don't feel any discomfort, which should last about a month. Before the wound heals, it is generally difficult to poke the earring into the hole and it is more likely to poke the wound, resulting in new injuries before the old ones have healed. In fact, it takes about a year for the ear piercing to heal completely. During this period, there will be water leakage and itching. At this time, remember to use a cotton swab dipped in disinfectant to clean it.

After getting your ears pierced, you must keep the holes clean. If you turn the earrings, the healed wounds will break again. This is simply a vicious cycle. In fact, you only need to use an ear needle (that is, an earring), dip it in a little chloramphenicol or erythromycin, and then wear it.

How to use: Use erythromycin ointment with medical alcohol, clean it once every five days, use silver earrings, or plastic ones, take them out on time, first clean the ear holes, earrings, and earplugs with alcohol, put the needle of the earring into the ointment, prick it and then insert it, and apply ointment around the ear holes.

During the period after getting your ears pierced, eat less irritating foods, keep your ears clean, avoid strong collisions to avoid damaging the ear holes, use silver earrings instead of curved hooks, and persist for a month and the ear holes will not die or become inflamed.

Best earrings for maintaining pierced ears:

Generally, pure silver, pure gold, or pure platinum will not cause inflammation. If it is made of plastic, it will not cause inflammation if you clean it daily. I even think that if your skin is not allergic, you can just go for plastic, which is cheap and easy to use.

Many earrings on the market, including some famous brands, are not pure, so they are prone to inflammation. Many beautiful Korean popular earrings are basically not pure, so the way to control it is, you'd better not be obsessed with fashion, and wait until the ear piercings are fully healed before chasing fashion. Ear piercings that are not well maintained from the beginning are generally prone to inflammation in the future, and then the gain will outweigh the loss.

Recommend new ways to pierce your ears:

Medical steel + hydrogen peroxide: This is the combination I would like to recommend to everyone. My two newest holes were made with medical steel. They can come into contact with water on the same day. Just spray some hydrogen peroxide to thoroughly disinfect them after contact with water, and they will not cause inflammation.

Don’t pierce your ears too many times, remember to do it in moderation. It is best not to inject the ear cartilage, as it will be very troublesome if it becomes inflamed.

If the inflammation is severe and causes fever and tingling, it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment.

Precautions

Generally, hoop earrings heal faster than stud earrings. This is probably because the holes in the earrings are breathable, unlike stud earrings which always block the ear holes.
