Penile coronal sulcus fissure is a very common disease in daily life. This disease not only causes great harm to the patient's physical health, but also seriously affects their normal life and work. Therefore, it is particularly important to understand relevant knowledge and find scientific and effective treatment methods. Patients need to seek medical treatment promptly when they find relevant symptoms so as to recover health as soon as possible. 1 There is a skin fold in the middle of the penis that connects the glans and the penis body, called the frenulum. Since the dorsal penile nerve, the most important branch of the pudendal nerve responsible for somatic sensation and afferent, is distributed to the back of the penis, mainly to the skin of the glans, and especially one of its small branches is specifically distributed to the frenulum of the prepuce, the frenulum of the prepuce is very sensitive to external stimuli. It and the coronal margin are the most sensitive parts of the penis and are one of the important sexual sensitive areas of men. 2However, due to the different development of each person's penis, the length and tension of the frenulum are also different. If it is short and tight, the glans will tilt downward during erection and may be torn due to excessive force during sexual intercourse, causing bleeding and pain. Frenulum rupture is mostly caused by excessive or improper force during sexual intercourse, and often occurs in people with foreskin that is too long. 3 After the break, you can go to the hospital for suture or natural healing. Generally, there will be no impact. Simple pressure should be applied to stop the bleeding. It is best to clean it, disinfect it, and bandage it to prevent infection. You will recover after resting for three or four days. To prevent the wound from reopening, sexual intercourse is prohibited within one week. 4 Of course, if the bleeding does not stop, you should go to the hospital, because if the wound is large and the bleeding does not stop but no suture is done, it will lead to poor healing and formation of scars or the frenulum will be too short, which may cause the penis to bend or be painful during erection, and affect future sexual life. As for why your fissure won't heal, it's probably because your frenulum is too short and your sexual intercourse is too intense, causing it to be torn apart. I specifically suggest that you check the wound. If it is small, you only need to clean, disinfect, bandage and rest until it heals. However, sexual intercourse must be prohibited during this period. Of course, if the wound is large and difficult to heal, you must go to the hospital for surgery to suture it. This can avoid some adverse consequences such as failure to heal for a long time, infection and inflammation, and even if it heals, poor healing may affect erection and sexual life. |
