I see black spots floating in my eyes

Some people feel that there are small mosquito-like things floating in the air in front of their eyes after overusing their eyes; some people also experience this eye condition as they get older. This may be caused by floaters. After suffering from this eye disease, people are often very anxious, worried that their eyesight will be damaged, and the constant foreign objects shaking in front of their eyes will make them feel very uncomfortable. First of all, we say that floaters generally do not cause any impact on vision, but this disease often only stabilizes the condition but cannot be completely cured. Patients need to adjust their mentality and learn to adapt to the existence of this symptom with an accepting heart.

1. What are the causes of floaters?

It is a natural aging condition caused by the degeneration of the vitreous body in our eyes. This condition will gradually develop as we age, and eventually the vitreous body will liquefy and some turbidity will appear.

2. How to treat floaters

There is no need for treatment for general floaters. For mild cases, as long as you pay attention to rest, avoid overwork, use your eyes appropriately, and rest regularly, the condition can be greatly alleviated.

3. Precautions in daily life

1. Pay attention to the time you use your eyes

Try not to use the computer for long periods of time. People who use computers or read for a long time should take a break every 40 minutes and look into the distance.

2. Strengthen eye exercises

The eye-twist method. Relax your whole body, keep your head and neck still, and turn your eyes clockwise 9 times, then counterclockwise 6 times, moving your eyeballs as far as possible each time. It can exercise eye muscles and improve eye nutrition.

Eye ironing method. Close your eyes, rub your hands together to generate heat, then cover your eyes with your hands, then quickly take your hands away and open your eyes forcefully. Repeat 3-5 times to promote blood circulation in the eyes.

3. Pay attention to your daily diet

Eat more deep-sea fish and animal livers; eat more green leafy vegetables, fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin A and anthocyanins, such as blueberries, carrots, etc.; eat more iodine-containing foods, such as kelp, seaweed, etc. The diet should be light and less greasy. You can soak garlic in red wine and drink a little every day to relieve floaters.

5. Pay attention to drinking water or tea

You should drink some natural mineral water every day because it is rich in minerals and can help relieve the symptoms of floaters; you can also make tea with chrysanthemum, wolfberry or cassia seed every day, which has a good effect of clearing the liver, improving eyesight, nourishing the liver and benefiting the kidneys.

6. Supplement vitamins and minerals

For physiological floaters, you should supplement more vitamin C, B vitamins, vitamin E, and vitamin A. You can take zinc gluconate orally, or some lutein orally, which will help relieve the symptoms of floaters.

7. Use traditional Chinese medicine for more conditioning

You can take some Chinese patent medicines that can nourish the liver and kidneys, nourish yin and kidneys, and remove dampness and resolve phlegm. You can also go to a regular Chinese medicine hospital for acupuncture treatment.

8. Pay more attention to your emotions, exercise and daily life

Keep a happy mood, adjust your emotions, and don't be depressed; ensure 7-8 hours of sleep every day, and try not to stay up late; eat three meals a day at fixed times; go for more walks outdoors, which are all very helpful in relieving floaters.
