How to remove hair balls from clothes

Sweaters can be said to be indispensable in our winter! Whether it is a popular brand or a hot-selling model, different problems will arise after wearing it for a period of time. Pilling is the most common among them. So why does pilling occur? It is because the wool fibers are tangled together and form balls after repeated friction during the processing of wool yarn and the wearing of sweaters. So let's learn how to remove the hair balls on clothes!

1/6 pumice stone to remove hair balls

Pumice stone is an exfoliating stone. .When pilling first starts to appear on a sweater, do not use a lint remover or lint-removing film directly, as they may remove other intact wool materials. First use pumice stone to gently scrape the ball area, which can easily scrape off the hair ball.

2/6 Use a hair dryer to dry your cuffs

Use a hair dryer to heat the cuffs, or soak the cuffs in hot water to prevent them from becoming too loose. Wool fibers shrink when exposed to heat, but it is important to note that the temperature should not be too high! Otherwise, the clothes will be burned. Do not immerse the entire sweater in hot water.

3/6 Vinegar restores the volume of clothes

After wearing a sweater for a long time, some parts such as the elbows and cuffs will become shiny. When washing, add an appropriate amount of dry cleaning agent and ammonia water to warm water, and add a few drops of white vinegar when rinsing. This can restore the fluffiness and luster of our sweater.

4/6 Shampoo solves the problem of hair shrinkage

Shampoo is smooth and delicate, which can relax the shrunken sweater fibers and make them easier to stretch, thus returning to their original shape. Pour an appropriate amount of shampoo into a basin filled with warm water, mix it thoroughly, and soak the sweater in it. After five minutes, wring it out and spread it flat on a dry towel. Roll up the towel and sweater together, and take out the sweater after another five minutes to dry it.

5/6 Use tape

Use wide tape, such as masking tape, packing tape, or duct tape. Lay out the clothing on a clean surface. Take out a roll of tape. Press the tape onto the fingers of one hand, adhesive side out, and wrap it around the fingers. Use the tape to gently tap the areas of clothing that are stained with lint. Remove the tape that's covered in lint and replace it with new tape. Repeat the above steps until the hair balls are completely removed.

6/6 plastic wrap

When we store it, wrap it with plastic wrap to reduce the friction between the sweater and other clothes, which can effectively reduce the chance of pilling of our sweater!
