What kind of fabric does not pill or get linted?

We all know that many clothes in life will pill after being worn for a long time. Pilling is a problem that exists in many fabrics. Most clothing fabrics contain fibers with relatively small cohesive force, high strength, large elongation capacity, and good bending, torsion and wear resistance. However, pilling clothes not only affect the appearance but also make them uncomfortable to wear. So let's take a look at what fabrics are non-pilling and non-linting!

The fibers often slide off the surface easily and, after forming small balls on the surface, they are not easy to fall off. In actual wearing, the fibers are subjected to friction from external forces, causing the surface fibers to continuously expose the fabric, and a lot of hair appears on the surface, which is called pilling. These hairs are entangled with each other, which is usually called pilling. Therefore, we can preliminarily know that clothes containing more fibers are more likely to pilling. This makes it convenient for us to discuss what fabrics do not pill and the characteristics of these fabrics.

Fabric that does not pill: 100% cotton

One hundred percent cotton clothing is made entirely of cotton. The characteristics of pure cotton clothing are that it is comfortable and soft to wear and has strong sweat absorption. The disadvantages are that it is easy to wrinkle, deform, dye and change color. Pure cotton is a type of clothing that most people like because it is not easy to pilling, the fabric is soft and has a tight structure.

No-pilling fabric 2: wool

Wool is a garment made from the wool of sheep, so it is naturally comfortable. The characteristics of woolen sweaters are that they are very warm and thick, but their disadvantages are that they are easy to wrinkle, be eaten by insects and shrink. Wool is generally used to make winter clothes, and woolen clothes are a must-have for most women.

Fabric that does not pill: Linen

Linen can be regarded as a high-end product among clothing fabrics. Although linen is also made of fiber, it is the earliest pure natural plant fiber used by humans. The advantages of flax fiber compared to other fibers are strong tensile strength, good fineness, fast water absorption and dispersion, and the ability to spin high-count yarns and make high-end clothing. Therefore, linen fabrics are not prone to pilling.
