Tips for removing hair balls from clothes

Each of us has different kinds of clothes. Summer clothes are lighter, while winter clothes are thicker. But these clothes are of different types and materials. Some clothes will pill, which is mainly caused by friction, but this is not the case with pure cotton clothes. Polyester clothes often pill, and the pills will make clothes unsightly. 1. Use a roller lint remover. It can usually be found in the laundry section of supermarkets, textile stores, or pet stores. Tear off the outer packaging of the roller, stick it directly on the clothes, and roll it up and down. After a while you may find that the roller is not sticky enough, so you can tear off the outermost layer and there will be a new layer underneath. Finally, just keep repeating until it is clean.

2. If the adhesive tape on the roller lint remover is used up, you can buy a replacement. Of course, you can also just buy a new lint remover. Lint rollers are available in both reusable and replaceable types. The principle is that there is a layer of glue-like substance on it that can stick to the hair on the clothes. When the drum gets dirty, just wash it with water and soap and let it dry.

3. How to remove hair balls from clothes

No lint roller? That's ok, you can make your own. First you need wide packing tape and a rolling pin. Tear off the tape a little bit, and wrap it tightly around one end of the rolling pin with the sticky side outside. There should be no gaps between the tapes, and it is best if each circle overlaps a little. Once everything is wrapped, remove the tape.

Once you have made your homemade lint remover, you can put it on your clothes and roll it back and forth. Hold the rolling pin firmly by the handle and roll it up and down until it is clean.

4. How to remove hair balls from clothes

Instead of using a rolling pin, you can also wrap the tape directly around your hands. Cut a length of tape slightly longer than twice the width of your palm. Then put your fingers together, still with the sticky side outward, and wrap the tape around your fingers. Tape the ends of the tape together to secure them. Then use your taped hand to directly pat the area that needs cleaning. If you find that the tape is not sticky anymore, turn the tape around and move the unused tape on the back of your hand to the palm of your hand before continuing to use it.

5. Find some wider tape and tear off a section that is about a few inches long. Follow the lines of the clothes, usually in the up and down direction, with the sticky side facing the clothes and stick it to the area that needs hair removal. Use your fingers to smooth out the tape before peeling it off.

The wider the tape, the larger the area it can stick. So try to find a wider tape, maybe around 5cm.

6. Consider buying an electric lint trimmer. There are rechargeable ones and battery ones. After turning on the switch, place the trimmer's trimming opening against the clothes and slide it carefully along the clothes. When you're done, open the waste tray on the trimmer and dump the cut hair balls into the trash.

7. Buy a pumice stone or a special sweater lint removal stone and grind off the lint or lint on the sweater. When using, follow the grain of the sweater and do not rub it randomly. And you must control the strength, do not use too much force, or rub the same part repeatedly. A pumice stone will remove the top layer of the fabric, and if you keep rubbing against one spot, you may create a hole.
