How to treat scar tissue

How to treat scar tissue

Scars are a particularly stubborn disease. Patients with scar tissue often suffer from it, which not only affects their image but also their life and work. Scars are proliferation phenomena caused by severe skin damage that exceeds the skin's self-repair ability. The best way to treat this type of scar tissue is to repair it through surgery. You should also take good care of the scar area and frequently apply products with repair effects. So what other methods are there to treat scar tissue?

Definition of scar

When the deep layer of human skin is traumatized, the stress response and inflammatory response to the wound cause an abnormal increase in growth factors in the matrix layer, inducing the deep matrix cells (fibroblasts, myofibroblasts) of the skin to degenerate and transform into scar cells, resulting in scars. Moreover, although scar cells themselves do not have the ability to divide and proliferate and will die with their own metabolism, because cell growth factors constantly induce matrix cells to transform into scar cells and replenish the scar cells that are constantly metabolizing and dying, scar tissue can be maintained and will show abnormal proliferation. Therefore, from the perspective of scar etiology and pathology, cell growth factors are the root cause of scar generation, maintenance, and proliferation. It is the "ultimate culprit" of all scar problems.

Common scars

1. Scars on the face near the facial features, such as the corners of the eyes and mouth, which cause deformation of the facial features or limit their functions.

2. Scars on the joints of the limbs, causing restricted movement.

3. Long and wide scar.

4. Hypertrophic and raised scars.

5. Depressed and wrinkled scars.

6. Scars with hyperpigmentation or prominent colors that cannot match the color of the surrounding skin.

7. Scars that are out of proportion to the surrounding skin texture.

8. Scars with obvious discomfort symptoms, such as itching, burning, pain or surface ulcers.

Scar prevention

1. The first step to prevent scars is to take proper care of the wound. Whether it is trauma, burns, skin infection or surgery, scars will form after the wound heals. Proper wound care can avoid the formation of abnormal scars.

2. After the stitches are removed or the wound has initially healed, massage therapy and compression therapy may be initiated as appropriate.

3. Apply cosmetic tape or silicone sheet to the healing wound. The cosmetic tape needs to be applied 24 hours a day, and the silicone sheet needs to be applied for about 12 hours. The area of application must be larger than the wound itself and include the surrounding normal skin to be effective.

4. Compression therapy can reduce the outward pulling force of the wound, making the scar flatter and thinner.

5. Massage therapy can soften hard scars and has the effect of tissue expansion, which can improve scars that are raised or have a tendency to contract.

6. For wounds covering a large area, compression therapy using tight elastic garments may be considered.

Treatment

New quadruple therapy

The reasons for excessive proliferation of scars include external stimulation and the overactivity of the patient's own fibroblasts in the dermis. The new quadruple therapy combines Chinese and Western medicine to treat both the symptoms and the root causes. Treatment is done with a pulsed soft laser device plus topical medication. First, loosen and soften the scar connective tissue, causing the scar tissue to shrink, degenerate and flatten, and then lighten the pigment. The ultimate effect is to achieve smooth and even skin, with a color close to normal skin. At the same time, the physical condition is regulated through internal medication to achieve the purpose of preventing and treating scars.

Scar repair device

It is the most effective way to professionally remove scars. The scar repair device is specialized in treating various pits and repairing the sunken and uneven surface of skin scars, thereby stimulating skin growth and promoting the production of collagen and elastic fibers. It is particularly suitable for shallow and single-shaped sunken scars. After instrument treatment, combined with drug treatment to stimulate epidermal proliferation, you will eventually achieve a smooth and even face close to your normal skin color. The scar repair device is non-irritating, painless, does not require anesthesia, is safe and reliable, and does not cause adverse reactions such as pigment changes and pigmentation after treatment. It does not affect daily life and is suitable for different treatment purposes in any part of the body and any age group.

LED Diamond Color Light

LED diamond color light therapy device removes pigmented scars. Its working principle is to use high-intensity color light to irradiate the epidermal tissue, allowing the light source to quickly penetrate into the subcutaneous cells, causing the aging skin cells to proliferate and differentiate, and accelerating the generation of new cells. At the same time, the energy of light can stimulate damaged cell tissues, accelerate epidermal pigment differentiation and collagen production, and improve the intercellular matrix. It can restore the collagen fibers and elasticity of pigmented scars, with significant therapeutic effects!

Minimally invasive scar surgery

It is a minimally invasive cosmetic suturing technology created on the basis of introducing advanced suturing materials from South Korea, according to the anatomical structure of the skin and the suturing principles of microsurgery, using microneedles to insert the needle at a special angle and performing layered treatment according to the natural physiological layers of the skin. It is suitable for concave and convex scars with a width of no more than 2 cm, and has a significant effect in repairing scars.
