What is matcha powder made of

Matcha powder is an ingredient with relatively high nutritional value. It is a powder made from steamed green tea ground by stone mill. What can matcha do?

1. Matcha Almond Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients: 7 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature), 6 tablespoons powdered sugar, 1 egg yolk (room temperature), 1 cup low-gluten flour, 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt, 6 tablespoons almond powder, 3 tablespoons matcha powder, 1/4 cup almond slices

Preparation method:

1. Beat the softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy, add egg yolks and mix well.

2. Sift in flour, salt, matcha powder and almond powder, and stir with a spatula into dough.

3. Shape the dough into a cylinder, wrap tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 40 minutes (or freeze for 10 minutes).

4. Set the oven to preheat at 170 degrees, take out the refrigerated cookie cylindrical dough, roll it in almond slices, and coat it with a layer of almond slices.

5. Cut the dough into even-sized slices and place them on a baking sheet.

6. Put it in the oven and bake for about 15-17 minutes.

2. Matcha Latte

Ingredients: 450ml whole milk (200ml for one person) 30g matcha powder 30ml syrup (can be increased or decreased according to personal taste)

Methods/Steps

Pour thick sugar water or syrup into a cup.

Pour whole milk into a hot pot and heat over low heat until foamy.

Continue to add matcha powder, stirring as you pour. After it's cooked, pour it into a cup.

If conditions permit, you can also draw a flower.

3. Matcha Mint Soda Ice

Ingredients: 4g of matcha (Yinian), 20g of mineral water, some ice cubes, a few mint leaves, 200ml of soda water (or Sprite), 1 teaspoon of mint syrup (optional)
