Step 1: Use a large shoe brush to lightly brush the entire shoe to see if there is any dirt on the protruding part of the shoe edge and find out the dirty spots.

Step 2: Use a soft-bristled brush dipped in detergent to scrub slowly, being careful not to use force. Nubuck leather will turn white. Because they are all processed with pigments.

Step 3: After scrubbing, place it in a ventilated and cool place to dry. When the leather shoe surface is almost dry, use a hard-bristled shoe brush dipped in some suede powder.

Step 4: After the shoe upper is dry, stuff newspaper inside the shoe for protection and spray the renewal agent evenly at a distance of 15 cm from the shoe. Renewal agents contain brighteners, colloids (to enhance the adhesion of other substances), pigments, solvents (to dissolve mixed substances), etc. The purpose of spraying renewal agent is mainly to replenish color. Black shoes tend to turn white after being worn for a long time, so it is best to use a color renewing agent.

When cleaning matte shoes, you can use a soft-bristled brush to gently wipe away the stains. Be careful to wipe in the same direction to make the texture smooth, but avoid applying oil. Use 2 parts of detergent, 1 part of vinegar, and 50 parts of water (temperature 30-40°C) to make a cleaning solution. Dip a shoe brush in the solution and carefully scrub the surface of the leather shoes.

Be careful not to immerse the shoes in the solution when scrubbing, and try not to let the leather shoes be soaked in too much solution. After the surface of the leather shoes is basically clean, wash and wipe the surface of the leather shoes with clean water 1 to 2 times, and place the shoes in a cool and ventilated place until they are half dry.

When adding oil, use a brush to evenly apply leather fatliquor or emulsified oil (which can be obtained from a tannery, with an oil content controlled at 50-60%) on the washed and semi-dried suede surface. The amount used is about 100 grams per pair of shoes. During the application process, be careful to allow the oil to penetrate the skin as much as possible.

After leaving it for 30 minutes, use 35℃ clean water to brush off the floating oil on the surface of the shoes, and place the shoes in a cool and ventilated place to dry thoroughly. When finishing, after the suede leather shoes are completely dry, use a wire brush or coarse sandpaper to brush the surface to restore the suede, and then brush it with a brush. After the above process, the suede shoes will be like new shoes.
