Fengyoujing treats diarrhea

We often see some friends applying some Fengyoujing when they have diarrhea. In fact, this practice has no therapeutic effect, it only has a relieving effect. It is unscientific to use Fengyoujing to treat diarrhea. You should use scientific methods to stop diarrhea and regulate your stomach and intestines, so as to achieve good results.

Can Fengyoujing cure diarrhea?

Fengyoujing can only relieve diarrhea, not cure it. Baby's diarrhea is mainly caused by gastrointestinal and digestive disorders. It is best not to use drugs indiscriminately. It is recommended to let children drink more boiled water, avoid catching cold, increase outdoor activities, and improve body resistance.

The Essential Prescription for Treating Painful Diarrhea is recorded in the Ming Dynasty medical monograph "Jingyue Complete Works". It is composed of four Chinese medicinal herbs: stir-fried Atractylodes macrocephala, stir-fried White Peony Root, stir-fried Tangerine Peel, and Saposhnikovia divaricata. It is also called Baizhu Shaoyao Powder. Because Zhang Jingyue called it "Essential Prescription for Treating Painful Diarrhea", it has its current name. The regular dosage of Tongxie Yaofang is: 30 grams of Atractylodes macrocephala, 20 grams of White Peony Root, 15 grams of Tangerine Peel, and 20 grams of Saposhnikovia divaricata. When applied clinically, the medicine should be added or subtracted flexibly according to syndrome differentiation. For example, for patients with long-term diarrhea, an appropriate amount of fried Cimicifuga can be added to raise yang and stop diarrhea. For patients with yellow and greasy tongue coating and internal heat, add Coptis chinensis and roasted costusroot to clear away heat and dampness, regulate qi and stop diarrhea.

Modern pharmacological research has found that Tongxie Yaofang can relieve gastrointestinal smooth muscle spasms, enhance gastrointestinal digestive function, and also has a certain antibacterial effect. From the perspective of Western medicine, chronic intestinal diseases such as chronic ulcerative colitis, allergic colitis, and irritable bowel syndrome, if there are symptoms of abdominal pain before defecation and pain relief after diarrhea, are diagnosed as liver depression and spleen deficiency, and can be treated with the Tongxie Yaofang with modifications. When patients have acute diarrhea, doctors generally discourage the use of antidiarrheal drugs unless there is another urgent need to control the condition. Otherwise, letting it drain out may be beneficial and speed up recovery.

Uses of Fengyoujing

1. Treatment of frostbite: Apply Fengyoujing to the areas that are prone to frostbite in winter once a day for 7 consecutive days in summer. This will prevent frostbite in winter or reduce the severity of the disease.

2. Treatment of anal itching: For those caused by hemorrhoids, anal fissures, etc., first wash the affected area with warm water, then dip a little wind oil with cotton wool, and rub it around the anus, it will be effective. It should be noted that Fengyoujing should not be used on facial skin to prevent allergies, pigmentation and affecting facial beauty. Because it contains camphor, which can pass through the placenta and affect the fetus, it is forbidden for pregnant women.

3. Treatment of burns: For small-scale mild burns, apply the wind oil essence directly on the burned area, once every three to four hours. This method has obvious analgesic effect on burns, is less prone to infection, does not form scabs, and leaves no scars after healing.

4. Treatment of corner mouth ulcers: After brushing your teeth and rinsing your mouth, apply Fengyoujing on the affected area twice a day. If you apply it once before going to bed, the effect will be better.

5. Repel mosquitoes and insects: Sprinkle a few drops of medicated oil on the blades of the electric fan. As the blades keep turning, the room will be filled with fragrance and mosquitoes will be driven away.

6. Repel mosquitoes: Sprinkle a few drops of medicated oil on the burning mosquito coils. The smoke from the mosquito coils will not choke you and the mosquito repellent effect will be better.

7. Remove fishy smell: Hands that have been used to wash fish always have a fishy smell that is difficult to remove. After washing your hands with soap, sprinkle 1 to 2 drops of medicated oil on the palms of your hands, rub your hands together and rinse them under the faucet. The fishy smell on your hands will be removed.
