Fosfomycin calcium tablets

Fosfomycin calcium tablets are a very common medicine in daily life. It has significant effects in the treatment of intestinal infections, urinary tract infections, dermatological and soft tissue infections, respiratory tract infections, ophthalmology and gynecological diseases. However, all medicines are toxic, and it also has some adverse reactions and contraindications. 1. Indications

It is suitable for the following infections caused by pathogenic bacteria sensitive to fosfomycin: 1. Intestinal infections: bacterial enteritis and bacillary dysentery. 2. Urinary tract infection: cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis. 3. Dermatology and soft tissue infections: furunculosis, anthrax, hidradenitis, lymphadenitis, and folliculitis. 4. Respiratory tract infections: nasopharyngitis, tonsillitis, tracheitis, and early chronic bronchitis. 5. Ophthalmology: stye, dacryocystitis. 6. Gynecology: vaginitis, cervicitis.

2. Usage and Dosage

Oral administration: Children: 50-100 mg/kg per day, 3-4 times a day.

3. Adverse Reactions

The main symptoms are mild gastrointestinal reactions, such as nausea, decreased appetite, upper abdominal discomfort, loose stools or mild diarrhea. Generally, it does not affect continued medication. Occasionally, skin rash, eosinophilia, elevated alanine aminotransferase, etc. may occur, but no toxic reactions to the kidneys, blood system, etc. have been observed.

IV. Precautions

1. When used in combination with β-lactams, aminoglycosides and other antibiotics, it often exhibits a synergistic effect and can reduce or delay the development of bacterial resistance.

2. Fosfomycin has an inhibitory effect on adenosine diphosphate (ADP)-mediated platelet aggregation in vitro, which is more significant when the dose is increased, but there have been no reports of bleeding in clinical applications.

Pregnant and lactating women

Use with caution in pregnant women.

5. Pharmacology and Toxicology

This product is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It works by inhibiting the early synthesis of bacterial cell walls, thereby blocking the synthesis of bacterial cell walls and causing their death. This product has a broad antibacterial spectrum and has certain antibacterial effects on most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The antibacterial spectrum of this product includes Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Shigella, Serratia, Shigella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Enterobacter aerogenes, etc.
