How does melasma come about

Time flies, the years pass by like a shuttle. Time slips away quietly, but leaves traces of the years on a woman's face. Once women turn 25, skin problems begin to appear. Melasma is a woman’s natural enemy. It cannot be washed away by facial cleansers or skin care products. It can only be covered up with layer after layer of concealer. However, the more it is covered up, the more it tends to appear. Melasma turns one beautiful woman after another into "Ruhua". Chloasma is a pain in women’s hearts, so, how does melasma come about?

(1) Genetic causes. Autosomal inheritance is the main cause of freckles. Freckles usually start in children around 5 years old, mostly in women, with more severe symptoms in spring and summer and lighter symptoms in autumn and winter. The spots are light brown to yellowish brown, ranging from pinpoints to rice grains in size, and are symmetrically distributed on the face (especially the nose).

(2) Ultraviolet radiation. Ultraviolet radiation in sunlight is an important cause of pigmentation, which is why sun protection is needed in summer. When the skin is exposed to too much sunlight, the epidermis will produce more melanin particles, which can absorb ultraviolet rays and protect the human body from harm. This is why people's skin becomes darker after sun exposure. In addition, ultraviolet radiation can cause chloasma and darken the color of ordinary freckles.

(3) Endocrine causes. Endocrine disorders are also an important cause of pigmentation in women. Changes in sex hormone levels during menstruation and pregnancy can affect the production of melanin. In addition, endocrine instability usually causes emotional instability, which can also indirectly cause the formation of pigmentation (in traditional Chinese medicine, the formation of chloasma is mainly attributed to liver stasis, which is more complicated).

(4) Problems with lifestyle habits. Bad lifestyle habits such as stress, partial eating, and lack of sleep can also increase melanin. Therefore, people with unstable sleep time have poor skin metabolism, which will affect the production of melanin particles. Endocrine regulation mainly starts with diet and exercise, supplemented by drug treatment when necessary. It is necessary to develop good eating habits, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, high-protein foods, drink more water, replenish the water needed by the body, and participate in various sports and exercises to strengthen physical fitness. There is also a scientific life pattern. Don't stay up late often, so as not to disrupt the normal physiological law, causing hormone secretion imbalance or even deficiency, and then causing other diseases. It is also necessary to ensure that you pay attention to rest and get enough sleep.
