Can Lijunza cure cough?

Can Lijunza cure cough?

Lijunsha is mainly suitable for children or people of the same age who are infected with hemolytic streptococci or acute tonsillitis caused by pneumococcal infection, or sinusitis and other symptoms. It is not actually very effective in treating coughs, but it should be noted that many people are prone to adverse reactions after using this drug, such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and other problems.

1. Indications

1. This product is mainly used to treat the following infections in children and adults who are allergic or resistant to penicillin and other β-lactams: acute tonsillitis, acute pharyngitis, sinusitis caused by hemolytic streptococci, pneumococcus, etc.; scarlet fever and cellulitis caused by hemolytic streptococci; diphtheria and diphtheria carriers; gas gangrene, anthrax, tetanus; actinomycosis; syphilis; listeriosis, etc. 2.Mycoplasma pneumonia. 3. Chlamydia pneumoniae pneumonia. 4. Urinary and reproductive system infections caused by Chlamydia and Mycoplasma. 5. Chlamydia trachomatis conjunctivitis.

2. Adverse Reactions

1. Hepatotoxic reactions are more common after taking this product than after taking other erythromycin preparations. Patients may experience fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, rash, fever, etc. after taking the medicine for several days or 1 to 2 weeks. Jaundice may sometimes occur, and liver function tests may show cholestasis, which usually resolves after the drug is stopped.

2. Gastrointestinal reactions include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, upper and middle abdominal pain, pain in the mouth and tongue, decreased appetite, etc. The incidence rate is related to the dosage.

3. When used in large doses (≥4g/day), especially in patients with liver or kidney diseases or elderly patients, hearing loss may occur, which is mainly related to the excessively high blood drug concentration (>12mg/L). Most cases can be recovered after stopping the drug.

4. Allergic reactions manifest as drug fever, rash, eosinophilia, etc., with an incidence of about 0.5%~1%.

5. Occasionally, there may be cardiac arrhythmia, oral or vaginal candidal infection.

3. Notes

1. When this product is used to treat hemolytic streptococcal infection, it must be continued for at least 10 days to prevent the occurrence of acute rheumatic fever.

2. Patients with impaired renal function generally do not need to reduce the dosage, but the dosage of this product should be appropriately reduced for patients with severe renal impairment.

3. Check liver function regularly during medication.

4. If a patient is allergic to or intolerant of one erythromycin preparation, he or she may also be allergic to or intolerant of other erythromycin preparations.

5. Because different bacteria have different sensitivities to erythromycin, drug sensitivity testing should be performed.
