Can sensorineural hearing loss be cured?

The health of the ears is very important for people's sensory health, because the ears are responsible for the execution of hearing and are one of the main foundations of people's communication. Hearing loss in the ears can damage people's senses. For example, sensorineural hearing loss is a more serious hearing disease, which is absolutely unacceptable to normal people. Let's take a look at whether sensorineural hearing loss can be cured?

The lesions are located in the hair cells of the auditory organ, the auditory nerve or the auditory centers at all levels, which hinders the perception of sound and the conduction of nerve impulses. The resulting hearing loss is sensorineural hearing loss. Among them, those caused by hair cell lesions are called sensorineural hearing loss (cochlear hearing loss or terminal organ hearing loss), which often have a re-excitation phenomenon. Those where the lesions are located in the auditory nerve and its conduction pathway are called neural hearing loss (retrocochlear hearing loss or post-cochlear hearing loss), which is characterized by a significant decrease in language recognition rate. Lesions occurring in the auditory center of the cerebral cortex are called central deafness, which is often accompanied by neurological symptoms.

1. Treat the cause of the disease.

2. Vasodilators and neurotrophic drugs, such as ligustrazine, salvia miltiorrhiza, niacin, scopolamine, vitamin B1, vitamin B12, ATP, coenzyme A, etc., and anticoagulants, ginaton, hemostatic agent, batroxobin, viperase, hormones, diatrizoate, and osmotic drugs (dextran) can be used according to the condition of the disease. When conditions permit, early-stage patients can also try hyperbaric oxygen and mixed oxygen therapy.

3. For mental deafness (hysterical deafness), suggestive therapy can be implemented with caution.

4. People with moderate to severe or severe sensorineural hearing loss can be equipped with hearing aids.

5. Patients suspected of having space-occupying lesions in the cerebellopontine angle and internal auditory canal should be transferred to a hospital with the necessary conditions to provide treatment, so as to obtain an early diagnosis and undergo surgery.

Medication safety

1. Carry out extensive publicity to prevent marriage between close relatives, actively prevent and treat pregnancy diseases, and reduce birth injuries. Discover deafness in infants and young children early and provide treatment or hearing and speech training as early as possible.

2. Improve living standards, prevent and treat infectious diseases, exercise, ensure physical and mental health, and slow down the aging process.

3. Strictly follow the indications for the use of ototoxic drugs and reduce the dosage and course of treatment as much as possible. Be especially cautious for those with a family history of drug poisoning, renal insufficiency, pregnant women, infants and those who are already deaf.

4. Avoid head and brain injuries and minimize contact with harmful physical factors and chemicals such as strong noise. Quit smoking and drinking habits, and strengthen protective measures when necessary.
