How to treat gallbladder adenoma

How to treat gallbladder adenoma

In our daily life, the common gallbladder adenomas are generally benign, and they are often single. This situation will cause abdominal pain in patients. If not treated in time, it is easy to cause nausea and indigestion, etc. In severe cases, it can also induce cancer. This disease does not have very obvious symptoms in the body and is easily confused with cholecystitis and other diseases. In order to ensure the safety of the body, it must be actively treated. So how to treat gallbladder adenoma?

First, how to treat gallbladder adenoma? Gallbladder adenoma belongs to the category of gallbladder polyp-like lesions, most of which are benign. It is a common benign tumor of the gallbladder. Most of them are single, pedunculated polyps, and their appearance may be papillary or non-papillary. The malignant transformation rate is about 30%, and the chance of canceration is positively correlated with the size of the adenoma.

Second, the main clinical symptoms include distension and pain in the right upper abdomen, accompanied by radiation to the right shoulder and back; nausea and indigestion; biliary colic, accompanied by mild jaundice during the attack. Physical examination: Generally unremarkable. Some patients with cholecystitis and gallstones may experience tenderness in the right upper abdomen.

Third, because most patients have no special symptoms, most of the diseases are discovered through general physical examinations. Diagnosis is usually based on B-ultrasound, and if found, CT or MRI can be performed. The treatment principles are the same as those for gallbladder polypoid lesions. First consider the diameter. If it is larger than 10mm, timely surgery is required; if it is combined with gallstones, timely surgery is required. Adenoma with a diameter less than 10 mm requires regular follow-up, and adenoma with a diameter between 5 and 10 mm requires close observation, with ultrasound examinations every 3 to 6 months to monitor the size of the adenoma.

Fourth, as long as reasonable methods are used and treatment is persisted, it can be completely cured. Gallbladder cancer is more sensitive to radiotherapy, so radiotherapy is a commonly used treatment for gallbladder cancer in the middle and late stages. It has a direct killing effect on the tumor, but it will also cause damage to normal cells. Therefore, the time and range of radiotherapy should be carefully selected based on the patient's overall condition. Chemotherapy is the most direct answer to the question of whether gallbladder tumors can be cured.

How to treat gallbladder adenoma? Can gallbladder cancer be cured? It is also closely related to the patient's physical function. Only with good physical function and strong immunity can one resist the development of cancer and tolerate various drug treatments. Therefore, improving immune function and enhancing resistance to tumors is extremely important for patients with gallbladder cancer, especially those in the middle and late stages of gallbladder cancer. In terms of diet, patients with gallbladder cancer should eat fresh vegetables, eggs, and steamed fish, and avoid fried, deep-fried, and high-fat foods. They should also avoid eating red dates, longans, white fungus, and other supplements that can easily cause abdominal distension.
