What is the difference between sea hare and squid

What is the difference between sea hare and squid

Nowadays, people love to eat seafood very much, mainly because this kind of food will not cause fat accumulation in the body, and it is also rich in nutrients, especially protein. However, many people can't tell the difference between squid and sea hare. They always think that these two foods are very similar in shape and even have very high nutritional value. But in fact, the biggest difference between these two foods is that they have different effects and properties.

the difference:

The sea hare is a kind of mollusk of the snail family with high nutritional value. It is also called the pen fish, pen octopus, and sea slug. It belongs to the phylum Aplysia, class Gastropoda, order Scutum, and family Aplysia. Rich in protein, fat, multiple vitamins and minerals. The back of the sea hare's torso is slightly narrow, and there is a thin, transparent, plastic-like substance along the inside of the spine. It is a special member of the crustacean mollusk family. Their shells have degenerated into inner shells. There is a thin transparent shell on the back, which is generally white with a pearly luster.

Squid is a mollusk, a type of cuttlefish. It has a cone-shaped body, pale color with light brown spots, a big head, 10 tentacles in the front, and a triangular fleshy fin at the tail end. They often swim in groups in the ocean about 20 meters deep. There are two kinds of squids seen in the market at present: one is the squid with a fatter body, which is called "calamari"; the other is the squid with a slender body, which is called "cuttlefish". The small squid is commonly known as "small tube".

The two have different effects. Sea hares are cold in nature, and have the effects of nourishing yin and moistening the lungs, relieving inflammation and reducing fever; squid is mild in nature, and has the effects of replenishing essence and Qi, strengthening the spleen and promoting diuresis, nourishing blood and nourishing yin, antacidity, warming the meridians and dredging collaterals, regulating menstruation, astringing and stopping bleeding, and beautifying the skin and darkening hair.

Sea hares are high-fat, high-cholesterol foods. The eggs of sea hares are called sea vermicelli, which are also called "sea vermicelli". The protein content of sea hare eggs is as high as 32%, fat 9%, and they also contain a variety of minerals and vitamins. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it is sweet, salty and cold in nature, enters the liver and lung meridians, and has the effects of nourishing yin, improving eyesight, clearing away heat, softening hard masses and relieving cough. Squid is a low-fat, nutritious food.

The squid has a pair of well-developed gills on both sides of its head surrounding its mouth, with a suction cup at the front. The body is slender and tapered. The squid has two gills as respiratory organs, and its body is divided into a head and a very short neck.

The two pairs of tentacles on the head of the sea slug protrude like rabbit ears, and the body is smooth or has many protrusions. The antennae have clear division of labor: the front pair is slightly shorter and is responsible for the sense of touch, while the back pair is slightly longer and is responsible for the sense of smell. The individuals are small, generally only 10 cm in length and weighing about 130 grams. Their bodies are oval in shape and can be deformed during movement.
