Obese people often need to lose weight in their lives because obesity can cause many serious health problems. The most effective way to lose weight is to control diet and exercise. It’s just that everyone’s diet is different, and it is very necessary to reduce some carbohydrate intake. So when people are hungry, they need to be clear about some issues: should they consume fat or protein first? 1. When people feel hungry, will the body consume protein or fat first? If you only consider fat and protein, the body will consume fat first and then protein. When the human body is hungry, the first thing to be mobilized is carbohydrates. It is the first energy to be mobilized by the human body among the three major energy-producing nutrients. When the carbohydrate content in the body begins to be insufficient and difficulties arise, fat will begin to be consumed, and then protein. To help you remember the order in which these three energy-producing nutrients are consumed, you can define carbohydrates as cash, protein as real estate, and fat as savings. Only when the cash is fully used up will the deposits be used, and only when the deposits are exhausted will the real estate be used. However, if the body is in a state of hunger, ketonemia or ketonuria will easily occur, because the decomposition of fat in the body requires the synergistic effect of glucose. When carbohydrate intake is cut off, fat will be broken down into fatty acids to supply energy. In this metabolic process, if the body saves protein, the oxaloacetic acid produced in the tricarboxylic acid cycle will not be sufficient, and the fatty acids cannot be completely oxidized, which will produce too many ketone bodies. Ketone bodies cannot be oxidized in time and accumulate in the body, which can easily lead to ketoacidosis or ketonuria. Therefore, the human body should not be hungry for too long. During this period of time, not only will the deposits (fat) be consumed, but even the real estate (protein) will be lost. 2. Exercise physiologists have found that when the amount of exercise reaches 60% of the maximum heart rate, the body consumes more fat than sugar (glycogen) or protein (muscle). But if the exercise intensity is higher, that is, above 75% of the maximum heart rate, the body will directly use fat, sugar and protein as energy sources. In other words, the harder you train, the more calories you burn. If you want to reduce fat without losing muscle, you can do strength training first, then aerobic exercise, and the duration should be about 30 minutes. Because after strength training, not only will the sugar stored in the body be consumed, but it will also cause certain damage and tearing to the muscles. After the muscle is damaged, it will spontaneously protect itself, and the muscles need more energy to recover. Therefore, when you do aerobic exercise after strength training, you will burn more fat and almost no muscle loss. When you rest, you can supplement more high-protein foods to synthesize a lot of muscle. This will have a good effect of increasing muscle and reducing fat. |
