How to dry quilts to remove mites?

People need a lot of daily necessities in their lives, for example, they need quilts to cover themselves when they sleep, etc. However, quilts are places where dirt and grime are easily hidden, because there are a lot of fibers in the quilts, which is an excellent environment for the breeding of various bacteria and parasites. For example, mites are the largest number of parasites in quilts, which pose a great threat to people's health. Therefore, people should clean their quilts frequently and kill the mites. Let’s take a look at how to dry quilts to remove mites.

There are literally millions of mites on quilts that have not been exposed to the sun for a long time. Under the microscope, pick out the mites. Mites are small insects with eight legs, usually about 0.03-0.5 mm in size.

Mites feed on human body fluids (blood, lymph), sebum, skin debris, or other powdery substances. Mites are everywhere. Studies have found that the number of dust mites and demodex mites on a piece of underwear can exceed 10,000. There are about 450,000 dust mites in 30 grams of dust. 10% of the weight of a pillow that has been used for 8 years is actually mites and their corpses.

There are many types of mites, and the ones that are most harmful to humans indoors are dust mites and Demodex mites. Dust mites are the main culprit of allergic diseases. Dust mites are one of the strongest allergens known in the world. Therefore, patients with various allergic diseases such as allergic asthma, allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, etc. must do a good job of indoor mite removal.

At noon, disinfect the bedding :

Quilts that smell like the sun are healthier. But unfortunately, only 44% of people have the habit of drying their bedding. The ultraviolet rays in the sunlight from 12 noon to 3 p.m. can effectively kill mites, microorganisms and various insect eggs. Gently patting the bedding after sun exposure can make it cleaner.

Fiber quilts and cotton quilts can be exposed to the sun for about 30 minutes at noon when the sun is bright. Down quilts and wool quilts should not be exposed to the sun for a long time, because the high temperature will cause some substances in the down and wool to produce an unpleasant odor.

Even in a tidy home, there are at least 15 million mites hidden in each bedding on average. The simplest way to deal with insect mites is to not fold the quilt after waking up. This way, the moisture inside the quilt will dry quickly, and external moisture will not be able to enter, which can reduce the survival of mites and reduce the chance of allergies and asthma.
