Flower crabs and swimming crabs are both relatively common seafood, but there are big differences between them. Many people do not understand and think they are the same kind of crabs. In fact, there are big differences between them. Flower crabs are thicker than swimming crabs, and they are more expensive and taste better than flower crabs. Of course, their nutritional value is relatively good and they all contain high-quality protein. Which is better, flower crab or swimming crab? Compared with flower crab and swimming crab, flower crab is heavier and more expensive, but flower crab is better in nutritional value. Swimming crab is not as good as flower crab in this respect. Both have a more delicate taste. So which one is better depends on personal taste. What you like is What is the difference between flower crab and swimming crab? 1. Swimming crab, commonly known as swimming crab and white crab, belongs to the class Crustacea, order Decapoda, family Portunidae. It is an important economic crab species along the coast of China. It grows rapidly and is very profitable to farm, so it has become an important aquaculture species in China's coastal areas. Swimming crabs generally live and reproduce at a depth of 3-5 meters on the seabed. In winter, they migrate to the deep sea of 10-30 meters and like to live in burrows at the bottom of mud and sand. It can adapt to salinity of 16‰-35‰, water temperature of 4℃-34℃, pH value of 7-9, optimum salinity of 26‰-32‰ and optimum temperature of 22℃-28℃. The water quality must be fresh and high in dissolved oxygen. When the environment is not adapted or molting fails, the legs will be self-cut off, and the legs can regenerate after being cut off. 2. The width of the cephalothorax of the flower crab is about twice its length. It is fusiform and has rough grains on the surface. The grains on the female are more obvious than those on the male. There are 4 teeth on the forehead, and the middle pair of teeth are shorter and smaller. They are sharper in adults and more rounded in larvae. There are 9 sharp teeth on the front side edge, and the last tooth is much larger than the previous teeth and protrudes to both sides. The chelicerae on the left and right sides are different in size and are long and slender. The length of the male chelicerae is about 4 times the length of the cephalothorax, and the surface has patterns. There is a clear difference in body color between males and females. Except for the movable and immovable fingers of the chelicerae and the front segments and knuckles of each walking leg, which are dark blue, the rest of the male's body is mostly blue-green with light blue or white spots. The front part of the female's cephalothorax is dark green, and the back part is mottled with yellow-brown spots; the ventral surface of the anterior segment of the stinging foot is light orange, extending to the base of the movable and immovable fingers, and the front end of the two fingers is dark red; the anterior segment and knuckles of the walking legs are light orange. Well, that’s all the introduction about swimming crabs. My friends, you all understand it clearly and know the differences. As for which one tastes better, it depends on personal taste. |
