Specific nursing measures:

① After receiving the patient, warmly welcome the child and the accompanying personnel, do not directly ask questions related to the condition, and use a smiling expression, optimistic mood, and gentle words to give the child a friendly and lovely first impression, eliminate the child's unfamiliarity with the environment and nurses, and make the child feel safe and warm in the environment he is in in a relatively relaxed state.

② Deepen the emotional connection with the child, call the child by nickname, and guide the child to call the nurse aunt or Auntie to stabilize his or her emotions. Occasionally touch the child's head and hands to bring him/her closer to the nurse. When facing sick children, you must not use wrong methods such as frowning, glaring, scolding, and scaring, so as to avoid the children developing antagonistic emotions and becoming more uncooperative with the infusion operation.

③For older children who can communicate more smoothly, more praise and encouragement should be used, and their cooperative behavior should be praised, and small gifts can be used as rewards.

② Complete venipuncture quickly with skilled techniques. Before puncture, you must choose a good puncture site, especially when puncturing the scalp vein, you must carefully observe and select the blood vessel, and at the same time fix the injection site on the child, so that the puncture is steady, accurate and fast.

③Fixation after puncture. For children with fever and excessive sweating, first wipe the skin dry with a dry cotton swab and then fix it properly with adhesive tape.

④ If the puncture fails, you should take the initiative to apologize to the parents. For children who are more difficult to puncture, you can ask other experienced nurses to perform the puncture operation, so that the parents feel valued and their dissatisfaction will disappear.
