What to check for the seven trace elements

What to check for the seven trace elements

The examination of trace elements has always been of concern to everyone and many people, because trace elements play more than just a little role in the body, and may also be accompanied by many important roles. For example, some people are doing seven trace element examinations, which mainly include those that we often know or don’t know much about, and these all need to be checked.

Major elements: calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, chlorine Major elements: calcium, magnesium, phosphorus

Essential trace elements include iron, iodine, zinc, selenium, copper, molybdenum, and cobalt. In addition, fluorine is a possible essential trace element.

Basic Introduction

Trace elements refer to some elements that account for less than 0.01% of the total mass of an organism and are essential to the organism. Such as iron, silicon, zinc, copper, iodine, bromine, selenium, manganese, etc. Trace elements are elements that plants need but in very small quantities. When these elements are lacking in the soil or cannot be used by plants, the plants will grow poorly, but excessive amounts can easily cause poisoning. In agriculture, trace elements are often used for seed treatment and foliar fertilization to increase crop yields.

Currently, most scientists agree that there are 28 elements essential to life. Among these 28 elements, they can be divided into macroelements (or constant elements) and trace elements according to their content in the body. Trace elements account for about 0.03% of the total human body mass. Although the content of these trace elements in the body is small, their role in life activities is very important.

Trace elements in non-living matter

Trace elements in rocks can be divided into the following categories based on their geochemical behavior:

Rare earth elements (REE): 17 elements including lanthanide elements with atomic numbers 57-71 and scandium and yttrium which are closely related to the lanthanide series are also called rare earth elements in geochemistry, including: La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Sc, Y.

Platinum group elements (PGE, atomic numbers from 44 to 46 and 76 to 78), also called precious metal elements if gold is included, include: Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir, Pt, (Au).

Transition metal elements (atomic numbers from 21 to 30), including: Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn

High Field Strength Elements (HFSE) include the lanthanides, Sc and Y, as well as Th, U, Pb, Zr, Hf, Ti, Nb, Ta

Low field strength elements (LFSE) are also called large ion lithophile elements (LILE), including: Cs, Rb, K, Ba, Sr, divalent Eu and divalent Pb
