When going to the toilet, we need to excrete feces through the anus, but some people may suffer from anal bleeding due to local infection or inflammatory diseases of the anus. The most common one is anal fistula. Most patients with anal fistula will have anal congestion and edema, which will affect normal defecation. Because the feces cannot be discharged, they will accumulate in the intestines for a long time, which may cause defecation due to force or a moment of inattention.

What is the cause of anal edema?

First: Patients with anal fistula should go to the hospital for surgical treatment as soon as possible. Do not delay, otherwise the treatment will be difficult and the patient will suffer more. The edema around the anus caused by anal fistula is due to infection. If not treated in time, the infection will further expand and spread. The rectum may be affected and other lesions may occur.

Second: For example, ulcerative colitis, intestinal tuberculosis, etc., may even lead to cancer. Therefore, timely treatment is necessary, and any new symptoms should be treated by a doctor in a timely manner. Moreover, anal fistula cannot heal on its own and requires surgery. It is extremely important to pay attention to care after the operation. If this is not done well, it is easy to relapse, so it must be taken seriously.

Third: The patient should keep the anal area clean and take a warm water sit bath after defecation. Avoid contaminating the wound with feces and causing infection. The medicine on the wound should be changed in time, and your hands must be washed when changing the medicine. Keep the wound area clean and dry at ordinary times. If there are any symptoms such as itching or inflammation, go to the hospital for treatment in time.

Precautions

You should do some ani exercises every day to help the anal sphincter recover, and avoid sitting in humid places. In terms of diet, you should pay attention to eating light and easily digestible food, and avoid eating spicy and irritating food. Get more rest, don't overwork, drink more water, and don't drink alcohol.
