In daily life, most people may not know about intracavitary ultrasound, let alone what diseases it is used to check. However, people who come into contact with it on a regular basis may not be particularly unfamiliar with it. In fact, intracavitary ultrasound is a common examination method. It may be that people do not pay close attention to it during the examination, so they may not know what intracavitary ultrasound is used to check. The following is a detailed introduction to the uses of intracavitary ultrasound. What does intracavitary ultrasound examine? Intracavitary color ultrasound is mainly used to check whether female friends have cervical diseases. Vaginal color ultrasound is a type of intracavitary ultrasound. During the examination, the ultrasound probe is directly inserted into the vagina. Compared with abdominal ultrasound, it has high frequency, high resolution, clear images, convenient examination, no need to retain urine, and can see some lesions that cannot be seen by abdominal examination methods. General adnexitis is not within the scope of ultrasound examination, and this examination is only required for cervicitis and vaginitis. What are the characteristics of color Doppler ultrasound? 1. The related technology used in color ultrasound is pulse wave. When the speed of the detected object is too high, the color of the color flow will be wrong. It is obviously inferior to spectral Doppler in quantitative analysis. Nowadays, color Doppler ultrasound instruments all have the function of spectral Doppler, that is, color-dual function ultrasound. 2. Color Doppler ultrasound blood flow map (CDF) is also called color Doppler ultrasound imaging (CDI). The source of echo information it obtains is consistent with spectral Doppler. The distribution and direction of blood flow are displayed in two dimensions, and different speeds are distinguished by different colors. The duplex Doppler ultrasound system is a B-mode ultrasound image that shows the location of blood vessels. Doppler measures blood flow, and this combination of B-mode and Doppler systems can more accurately locate any specific blood vessel. 1. Blood flow direction In spectral Doppler display, the zero baseline is used to distinguish the direction of blood flow. Those above the zero baseline indicate that the blood is flowing toward the probe, and those below the zero baseline indicate that the blood is flowing away from the probe. In CDI, blood flow direction is indicated by color coding, with red or yellow color spectrum indicating blood flow toward the probe (hot colors); while blue or cyan color spectrum indicates blood flow away from the probe (cold colors). 2. Vascular distribution CDI displays the blood flow in the vascular lumen and is therefore a flow channel type display. It cannot display the vascular wall and outer membrane. 3. Identification of blood vessel types in cancer nodules CDI can be used to classify the blood vessels of liver cancer nodules. They can be divided into blood vessels surrounding the nodule and arc-shaped blood vessels at the inner edge of the nodule. The blood vessels flowing into the nodule, the blood vessels inside the nodule, and the blood vessels outflowing from the nodule, etc. |
