Generally, women will have some early pregnancy reactions in the early stages of pregnancy. This is because the hormone levels in the human body are constantly changing. Some women have stronger early pregnancy reactions, while some women do not feel any discomfort. Dizziness and nausea in the early stages of pregnancy are very normal. You don’t need to worry too much. Pay more attention to rest and develop good living and eating habits. Why do pregnant women feel dizzy, nauseous and want to vomit? 1. Low blood pressure and cerebral ischemia. Such pregnant women often faint when standing or lifting. In the early and middle stages of pregnancy, due to the formation of the placenta, blood pressure drops to a certain extent, generally 133-267 kPa lower than normal, which is physiological. For pregnant women with hypertension, blood pressure will drop more. When blood pressure drops, cerebral blood flow will decrease, leading to insufficient blood supply to the brain, causing cerebral ischemia and hypoxia, causing dizziness and vomiting. 2. Eating too little and low blood sugar. These pregnant women sometimes experience dizziness and vomiting, accompanied by palpitations, fatigue, cold sweats, and more commonly, they eat less. Because of vomiting during pregnancy, you will eat very little, and eating less can lead to low blood sugar. Blood sugar is the raw material for muscle cells and brain cells to produce energy. When blood sugar is low, cell energy is reduced, leading to fatigue, dizziness, vomiting, cold sweats, palpitations, etc. 3. Improper position, compressing blood vessels. Such pregnant women usually have attacks when lying on their backs or sitting on the sofa watching TV, but are not affected when lying or standing. Dizziness and vomiting in pregnant women are symptoms of supine syndrome. In late pregnancy, as the uterus enlarges, the heavy uterus presses on the inferior vena cava behind it when lying on your back or lying down, preventing blood from returning to the heart. The amount of blood returning decreases sharply and the stroke volume decreases, resulting in reduced blood supply to the brain, causing dizziness, vomiting and chest discomfort. 4. Anemia in pregnant women is also a common cause of dizziness and vomiting in pregnant women. Pregnant women should usually take iron-rich foods, such as animal blood, liver, lean meat, etc. When anemia occurs, iron supplements should be given. Pregnant women also experience dizziness, vomiting and headaches. If the condition develops further into preeclampsia, it can cause convulsions and coma, endangering the lives of pregnant women and fetuses. This is the most serious complication during pregnancy and should be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible. |
