In addition, the protein in raw eggs is not easily absorbed by the human body. The dangers of eating raw eggs (1) Raw eggs are difficult to digest and waste nutrients. The human body digests and absorbs the protein in eggs mainly through pepsin and trypsin in the small intestine. The egg white in raw eggs contains an anti-trypsin substance that will hinder the digestion and absorption of protein. If the human body lacks biotin, it will suffer from loss of appetite, mental fatigue, skin inflammation, desquamation and hair loss, weight loss, and affect physical health. (3) About 10% of fresh eggs contain pathogenic Salmonella, mold or parasite eggs. If the eggs are not fresh, the bacteria rate will be higher. Bacteria can enter the eggs directly from the hen's ovaries, or they can be contaminated by bacteria in the anus onto the eggshell when the eggs are laid, and then enter the eggs through the pores in the eggshell. These bacteria are afraid of high temperatures. Boiling the eggs for 8 to 10 minutes will kill the bacteria inside and outside the eggs. Some parents mix eggs with boiling water and add sugar for their children to drink. Since the bacteria and parasite eggs in the eggs cannot be completely killed, they can easily cause diarrhea and parasitic diseases. If there is salmonella in eggs, it can also cause food poisoning. It has been recently discovered that eggshells may carry 0-157 enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli. Even if the amount of bacteria is very small, it is enough to cause food poisoning if the eggs are eaten raw. Some people use eating raw eggs to treat children's constipation. This not only fails to cure constipation, but also transmits the zoonotic disease toxoplasmosis. (4) Eating raw eggs can easily lead to infectious diseases.
