How can skin injuries heal quickly without leaving scars

Skin trauma in children is the most common type of disease in outpatient clinics. Because children run and jump, their movements are large and they often like to take risks, it is inevitable that they may have bumps and bruises. If you want skin trauma to heal quickly and without leaving scars, you must first protect the surface of the skin. No matter whether it is bleeding, edema or blue color, as long as the skin is damaged, you need to go to the hospital for treatment.

1. Countermeasures before going to the hospital :

1. Abrasions and contusions are generally just injuries to the epidermis or dermis of the skin. The wound will have a small amount of exudate, a small amount of bleeding or no bleeding. Contusions will be accompanied by multiple small hematomas. Abrasions and contusions are relatively minor injuries, but there is often foreign matter attached to the injured area. The foreign matter can be removed by washing with salt water, and iodine or Bactroban ointment can be applied externally. Hematoma is the blood that seeps out or flows out of blood vessels and accumulates in human tissues. It often occurs under the skin, fascia, muscle, periosteum, and in internal organs. The head and face are common sites for hematomas due to their rich blood vessels. The symptoms and severity of hematoma are related to the degree of trauma, amount of bleeding, and injured site. In the early stage of hematoma, do not rub or apply hot compress with your hands to avoid aggravating vascular damage. Because the condition of hematoma is difficult to judge at the moment, it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment in time.

2. Laceration is a wound in which the skin and subcutaneous tissue are split, which often occurs in falls, sharp injuries and local compression. After a laceration occurs, you can use clean dressings to apply pressure to stop the bleeding, and go to the hospital immediately for debridement and suture treatment.

3. Soft tissue foreign body injuries are often caused by metal foreign bodies (nails, sewing needles, etc.), glass, bamboo and wood thorns, etc. Since foreign objects entering the human body will move with muscle movement and there is a possibility of infection, it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment in time.

2. Post-care :

1. Abrasions or bruises : Keep the wound dry and clean, avoid getting it wet, change the dressing regularly until the scab falls off. If the wound is large or infected, give anti-inflammatory treatment if necessary. Skin abrasions or bruises are usually superficial and will not leave scars after healing.

2. Laceration : After cleaning and suturing the wound, do not expose it to water. Change the dressing regularly and the sutures can be removed about one week after the operation depending on the situation. Anti-inflammatory treatment is required during this period. If the skin is torn to the dermis or deeper, scars will remain after the wound heals. You can massage the scars after removing the stitches. If conditions permit, you can buy scar removal medicine and use it together with massage to reduce the scars.
