Is it effective to apply aloe vera for allergies? What should I do if I have allergies?

When it comes to beauty and skin care, many girls are interested in it because everyone wants their skin to become beautiful. However, some people often suffer from skin allergies. When their skin is allergic, they dare not use some skin care products indiscriminately. However, aloe vera gel has a repairing effect and can be used during allergies. However, everyone should pay attention to the fact that some people's skin is naturally allergic to aloe vera. If the allergy worsens, you need to stop using it.

1. No care is more practical than avoiding allergic sources .

2. For patients with weak skin barrier or other allergic symptoms, gentle cleansing is the primary consideration. The first thing to consider when cleaning is the water temperature. It should not be too hot or too cold. My personal temperature is 33℃-35℃, which is the appropriate water temperature range. Secondly, patients who have already developed allergic symptoms should not over-cleanse. In general, washing with warm water is sufficient. For the prevention of allergies, choose amino acid, amphoteric, or non-ionic cleaning products, and avoid using soap-based or SLS/SLES-based products. Soap-based or SLS/SLES products, the former can easily cause keratin denaturation and excessively deprive the sebum membrane and intercellular matrix, while the latter can cause obvious skin irritation at an addition amount of 2%-5%. Tools such as facial brushes and towels should be avoided.

3. For those who are used to using sunscreen or makeup, if you have sensitive skin or have allergic symptoms, please stop using sunscreen and makeup products, avoid the need to use cleaning products or makeup removers, and it is more appropriate to use hard protection such as umbrellas, masks, and hats.

4. People with sensitive skin do not need to use additional water-based products. I personally believe that patients with sensitive skin or allergic symptoms have unstable skin conditions, and the production and maintenance of the sebum film are very abnormal. Excessive use of water-based products will result in the skin not having the corresponding amount of sebum for emulsification, which will not only have no care effect but will damage the skin barrier.

5. When choosing skin moisturizing products, patients with sensitive skin or allergic symptoms can choose products containing effective ingredients such as ceramide, lecithin, VB5 (panthenol), hyaluronic acid, chitosan, etc., which help maintain the health of the skin barrier. When choosing product texture, the higher the occlusivity, the better for this type of skin. For example, mineral oil, vaseline, etc., form a dense protective layer on the outside of the skin to block external stimuli. In addition, plant oils (olive oil, grape seed oil, evening primrose oil, rose hip oil, sweet almond oil, etc.) all have protective and anti-oxidant effects, and provide unsaturated fatty acids to repair the skin.

6. People with sensitive skin and allergies must take good care of sun protection. I personally recommend tools such as umbrellas, masks, and hats rather than sunscreen products based on physical sunscreens (zinc oxide, titanium dioxide). These tools are much more reliable in blocking ultraviolet rays than sunscreen products.

7. People with sensitive skin and allergies should not believe that essential oil products can improve skin problems. It is true that essential oils like those in the chamomile family contain many substances such as alpha-bisabolol, cyanocobalamin, angelic acid, etc., which have certain anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects. However, remember that the material composition of essential oils is very complex, and they contain many monoterpenes, aldehydes, ketones, etc. No matter how you dilute them with vegetable oils, it is not as reliable as following the doctor's advice and using appropriate hormone drugs and anti-inflammatory care products.

8. Common allergy and anti-inflammatory care ingredients include 3%-5% niacinamide, bisabolol, and some plant extracts (purslane, turmeric, etc.). Tranexamic acid is also a multi-functional ingredient that I recommend. First, it can inhibit some minor inflammation of the skin and whiten the skin. Second, it is stable and mild in nature and has very low irritation to the skin, so people with sensitive skin may wish to start from this direction when choosing whitening products.
