Generally, the following side effects will occur: more common rash or skin itching and leukopenia; less common severe granulocytosis; aplastic anemia may occur; it may also cause loss of taste, nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal discomfort, joint pain, dizziness, headache, vasculitis, and lupus erythematosus-like syndrome. It can rarely cause hepatitis, interstitial pneumonia, nephritis and vasculitis involving the kidneys, and rarely cause thrombocytopenia, decreased prothrombin or decreased factor VII.

The following points should be noted when taking Silge :

1. If you suddenly develop sore throat, inflammation of the swallowing mucosa or boils at the beginning of treatment or in the following weeks or months, please contact your doctor immediately.

2. Patients with significantly enlarged thyroid or tracheal stenosis can only receive short-term treatment with methimazole tablets, because long-term use of methimazole tablets may lead to further enlargement of the thyroid and there is a risk of aggravating tracheal stenosis.
