What are the adverse reactions of Shapuaisi Eye Drops?

Drug ingredients

Shapuaisi eye drops multiple doses

Each vial of this product contains 25 mg of benzyl lysine. The excipients are hypromellose, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride, and sodium thimerosal.

Single dose of Shapuaisi eye drops

Each vial of this product contains 1.5 mg of benzyl lysine. The excipients are hypromellose, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, disodium hydrogen phosphate, and sodium chloride.

Indications

Early stage senile cataract.

Dosage

Eye drops. Take 1 to 2 drops 3 times a day or as directed by your doctor.

Adverse Reactions

There are transient burning sensations, tearing and other reactions, but they can be adapted to as the duration of medication is extended. Rarely, there may be difficulty swallowing, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tearing, contact dermatitis, etc.

Storage method

Keep away from light and store in airtight container.

Precautions

1. When applying eye drops, do not let the tube mouth touch your hands and eyes to avoid contaminating the eye drops in the bottle.

2. Please tighten the bottle cap after use to prevent contamination.

3. Some cases may experience transient irritation, such as burning sensation, stinging, etc., but it does not affect the use. Experiments have shown that the incidence and intensity of irritation can be reduced after refrigeration (around 4°C). Patients who experience irritation during use are advised to refrigerate the product before use to reduce irritation. If the solution is found to be contaminated or turbid, please discard it.

4. It has been reported that the incidence and intensity of transient irritation are related to other infections or inflammations of the eyes. Cataract patients with eye infections or inflammations are advised to use the product with caution.

5. People who are allergic to this product are forbidden to use it, and those with allergic constitution should use it with caution.

6. It is forbidden to use this product when its properties change.

7. Please keep this product out of reach of children.

Drug metabolism

After intravenous injection in rabbits, the original drug and its metabolite, 5-hydroxybenzyldazone (5-BDZ), can be detected in ocular tissues and plasma, with the highest concentration in the iris, followed by the ciliary body, retina, cornea, tears, aqueous humor, vitreous body and lens. The elimination half-life (t1/2b) of plasma and aqueous humor, vitreous body, ciliary body and retina are 2.47, 4.56, 3.59 and 3.22 hours, respectively, while the t1/2b of lens is 17.1 hours, which is significantly longer than that of other tissues. Using 0.5% 14C-BDZL eye drops, after one application, the drug can be detected in all tissues of the eye, and stays in the lens the longest.
