How many years can you live with cervical cancer

How many years a cervical cancer patient can live has a lot to do with the pathological type of the tumor and the specific clinical stage. For early patients with non-small cell cervical cancer such as squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma, chemotherapy is often the main treatment method, and the prognosis is often better. Cervical cancer is a common gynecological malignancy, but modern medical technology is relatively developed. For early patients, as long as they strictly follow the doctor's advice and actively adopt surgical resection treatment, they can achieve a radical cure without affecting the patient's life span. The prognosis and survival of cervical cancer patients depend on the clinical stage, pathological type, degree of differentiation and metastasis to other parts of different cervical cancers.

How long can you live after cervical cancer metastasizes?

When the tumor metastasizes, the five-year survival rate in the late stage is less than 20%, and most patients have difficulty surviving for more than three years. Cervical cancer is a common malignant tumor in clinical practice, and its pathogenesis is closely related to HPV virus infection. If a woman is diagnosed with cervical cancer, cancer cells have already metastasized, but the metastatic cancer cells are still in the pelvic cavity and have not metastasized to distant sites outside the pelvic cavity. Through active surgery and postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy, their survival time is 2 to 5 years. If cervical cancer metastasizes to distant organs, the average life expectancy of the patient is generally six months to one year.

What causes cervical cancer?

There are many causes of cervical cancer, mainly related to early marriage and early childbearing, multiple births, sexual dysfunction, multiple sexual partners, bacterial and viral infections, cervical lacerations, cervical inflammation and other factors. The most important factor is HPV infection, especially high-risk virus infection. The persistent infection of HPV virus in the body is closely related to the occurrence of cervical cancer. Premature sexual life, poor living conditions, multiple births, smoking and other factors may also indirectly promote HPV infection and lead to cervical cancer. Patients in smoking environments and AIDS patients have a higher risk of HPV infection, which will further lead to the risk of cervical cancer.
