What are the skin diseases and how to prevent and treat them

Nowadays, the most common skin disease is too many types and there are many causes. For example, chronic skin diseases are divided into many types. In fact, this seasonal skin disease is not a big problem, but because the affected area affects the appearance, patients are extremely anxious. So what are the chronic skin diseases and how to prevent and treat them? Today I will introduce a few to you.

Next, let’s take a look at common chronic skin diseases: chicken skin

The key to prevention: gentle exfoliation

The so-called "chicken skin" is scientifically called keratosis pilaris, also known as keratosis pilaris or lichen pilaris. It is a chronic follicular keratosis pilaris skin disease. People with this disease have many chicken skin granules on their bodies. These granules occur at the opening of each hair follicle and do not fuse with each other. They are persistent and scattered in clusters, resembling the appearance of "chicken skin", hence the name "chicken skin".

The prevention and treatment of chicken skin can be mainly started from two aspects: medication and daily care. First of all, taking vitamin A orally or eating more foods rich in vitamin A can help this disease to a certain extent; in addition, external use of skin keratin softening or keratin dissolving agents can alleviate symptoms and make the skin surface smoother. For example, topical retinoic acid, salicylic acid ointment, etc., the application of retinoic acid should start at a low concentration, such as 0.05%~0.1%, to avoid irritation to the skin.

1. Gentle exfoliation

Strong exfoliation is only necessary once every 1 to 1.5 months. Shower gel can also remove dead skin cells to a certain extent, but it may also remove too much oil. Therefore, people with "chicken skin" only need to take a bath once every 2 or 3 days in winter. It is especially important to avoid taking a bath with too hot water.

2. Avoid scratching, squeezing or picking. Never scratch or pick.

Common chronic skin disease 2: acne

The key to prevention and treatment: improve skin resistance

Acne, also known as "acne", is a disease caused by multiple factors. Increased secretion of male hormones, excessive secretion of sebum, abnormal keratinization of the sebaceous gland ducts of the hair follicles, and the action of microorganisms such as Proteobacterium acnes in the hair follicle opening are several major factors in the onset of acne. Other factors such as immunity and genetics are also related to the onset of acne. "Acne" often occurs in adolescent boys and girls, and occurs earlier in women than in men, but the disease is more serious in men than in women. The rash often occurs on the face, chest and back, especially on the face, which affects beauty. Some young people are eager for quick results and apply lotions randomly, which aggravates the rash.

Modern medicine generally believes that acne is caused by endocrine disorders, excessive liver fire, heavy moisture in the body, excessive oil secretion, and Propionibacterium infection. However, inadequate daily cleaning, indiscriminate use of cosmetics, excessive sun exposure, changes in living environment, genetic factors, incorrect treatment and delayed treatment can also cause acne. Therefore, there is no single method to treat acne. Only by taking the right medicine can the skin become resistant and resist external damage.

Through the above understanding, chronic skin diseases are not very difficult to treat. The most important thing is that everyone must pay attention to hygiene and the cleanliness of clothes to eliminate skin diseases from the root. If you unfortunately get a chronic skin disease, it doesn’t matter. If you discover it in time and receive timely treatment, you will recover soon.
