The Chinese medicine kidney-tonifying prescription "Liuwei Dihuang Pills" is taken as the basis, and Cuscuta australis, Cistanche deserticola, Bombyx batryticatus, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Polygonum multiflorum, Millettia reticulata, etc. are added as the basic prescription, and combined with syndrome differentiation and treatment, remarkable results are achieved.

Basic formula: Cornus officinalis 10g, Rehmannia root 15g, Chinese yam 15g, Cortex Moutan 10g, Poria 15g, Cuscuta 12g, Rhizoma Alismatis 8g, Bombyx batryticatus 10g, Polygonum multiflorum 15g, Cistanche deserticola 10g, Salvia miltiorrhiza 10g, Millettia reticulata 15g.

Syndrome differentiation and addition and subtraction:

1. Those with kidney yin deficiency have restlessness, poor sleep, bitter taste in the mouth and dry throat, red tongue with little or thin yellow tongue coating, and a stringy and fine pulse. Change the cooked rehmannia in the basic formula to raw rehmannia; add wolfberry, mulberry fruit, etc. as appropriate.

2. Those with partial kidney yang deficiency have pale face, cold limbs, sore feet and knees, loose and thin stools, clear and thin leucorrhea, dark menstrual color, no menstrual period, dark tongue, and weak pulse. The basic formula can include antler powder, Achyranthes bidentata, etc., but generally do not use pungent and hot ingredients such as cinnamon and aconite.

3. For those with qi stagnation and blood stasis, the course of the disease is usually longer, with dark spots, dull complexion, or concurrent dysmenorrhea, menstrual clots, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, dark tongue with ecchymosis or purple spots, and sluggish pulse. 4. The above method was used to treat 42 patients, with the shortest course of illness being 2 months and the longest being 3 years.
