What are some common treatments for tendon strains?

Muscle tendon injuries are also common in life. Due to external forces or sports injuries, muscles often rupture and tendon injuries are often caused, which are very harmful to the body. If timely treatment is not paid attention to, it is easy to cause repeated injuries, and spontaneous ruptures will occur over time. When tendon injuries occur, emergency treatment should be carried out first, and blood circulation, blood stasis, anti-inflammatory and other treatments should be done well. As the symptoms improve, dietary adjustments should be strengthened, and more foods that help promote blood circulation should be eaten. This will help the treatment. In addition, the effect of Chinese medicine fumigation is also good.

1. Chinese medicine fumigation treatment

Qianghuo, Fangfeng, Achyranthes bidentata, Millettia reticulata, Stretch tendon grass, Caulis oxyphylla, Qiannianjian, Xungufeng, etc. Put the above medicines in a pot and use half water and half vinegar as the ingredients for boiling. Soak the Chinese medicine in the water-vinegar mixture for about 30 minutes, then start to boil it. Place the painful area about 50 centimeters above the pot, so that the steam can continuously fumigate the affected area. Place a cloth bag on the pot to prevent the steam from leaking out, but be careful to let go of the cloth bag a little when it is overheated to avoid burns. Generally one dose per day, each dose lasts for 1 hour.

2. Muscle-regulating techniques

First, use the kneading method to knead the upper part of the spine, shoulders, and upper arms from top to bottom to loosen the tendons. Then focus on the area above the Gang and shoulders, rub from top to bottom to relax the muscles and promote blood circulation. Then move and press the area above the spine and shoulders to straighten out the tendons. Finally, use the rotational shaking method to rotate the shoulder and abduct it as much as possible. The muscle massage techniques for subacromial bursitis, long head of biceps tenosynovitis and coracohumeral impingement are generally similar, but the emphasis is on different areas of massage.

3. Drug treatment

In the acute phase, the main treatment methods are to promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, unblock meridians and relieve pain, with modification of Huoxue Shujin Decoction. In the chronic phase, Xiaohuo Luo Pills and Dahuo Luo Pills can be taken. People with weak qi and blood can take Duhuo Jishe Decoction with modifications. In the acute stage, you can apply anti-stasis and analgesic ointment or three-color compress externally. In the later stage, use hot iron on the affected area with wind-cold sand.

4. Treatment of acupuncture inflammation

Select Tianzong, Jianyu, Jianliao, Binao, Quchi and other acupoints and use the drainage method.

5. Massage therapy

(1) Use one-finger pushing, kneading or massaging techniques to work on the shoulders. The operation is based on the upper outer part of the shoulder, but the treatment should include the area near the insertion point of the deltoid muscle, and generally should not cross the deltoid tuberosity of the humerus to prevent damage to the radial nerve. However, the supraspinatus course in the back should be treated.

(2) Press the Jianyu, Armpit and Jianjing points.

(3) Shaking, pressing and stretching method: The patient sits down, and the doctor stands behind the injured shoulder. He holds the wrist joint with one hand, and uses the thenar eminence of the hand holding the shoulder to press the outside of the shoulder joint. Under the traction of stretching, the shaking method is performed 6 to 7 times. While maintaining the force, the hand holding the shoulder is placed under the armpit, so that the injured limb hangs down and the elbow is bent and adducted, and the hand touches the healthy shoulder. At this time, the forearm of the hand holding the wrist supports the ulnar side of the elbow joint of the injured limb, so that the injured arm is passed over the top of the head and placed behind the neck, and then the injured limb is straightened diagonally forward and upward. At the same time, the thenar eminence of the hand holding the shoulder pushes down and presses the affected area. This method can be repeated 2 times.
