The spine is one of the most complex skeletal tissues in the human body. Because it is composed of dozens of individual vertebrae, the spine is highly mobile and elastic. However, the spine is prone to pathological manifestations when under excessive pressure. Among them, spinal deformity is a common symptom that has a greater impact on patients. Let’s take a look at what to do if the spine is deformed? Cervical vertebra deformation is one of the symptoms of cervical spondylosis, which is also called cervical spondylosis syndrome. It is a general term for cervical osteoarthritis, hypertrophic cervical spondylitis, cervical radiculitis, and cervical disc herniation. It is a disease based on degenerative pathological changes. The main pathological changes are: early degeneration of the cervical intervertebral disc, decreased water content of the nucleus pulposus and swelling and thickening of the fibers of the annulus fibrosus, followed by hyaline degeneration and even rupture. After the cervical intervertebral disc degenerates, its resistance to pressure and tension decreases. When affected by the gravity of the head and the pulling force of the head-thoracic muscles, the degenerated intervertebral disc may bulge outward locally or extensively, causing the intervertebral disc space to narrow, the articular processes to overlap and dislocate, and the longitudinal diameter of the intervertebral foramen to decrease. Due to the weakening of the traction resistance of the intervertebral disc, when the cervical spine moves, the stability between adjacent vertebrae decreases and intervertebral instability occurs, the range of motion between the vertebral bodies increases and the vertebral bodies have slight slippage, followed by bone hyperplasia of the posterior facet joints, uncovertebral joints and vertebral lamina, degeneration of the yellow ligament and nuchal ligament, and changes such as cartilage and ossification. Mitigation methods: 1. Do not sleep on your stomach, and the pillow should not be too high, too hard, or too flat. You can use the following in combination: Buy 5 pounds of silkworm sand to make a small pillow, put it under your neck when you sleep every day, it will improve the discomfort of your cervical spine. 2. Avoid and reduce acute injuries, such as avoiding lifting heavy objects. 3. Excellent for treating local infections and other diseases. 4. Correct bad posture and reduce strain. Do neck exercises every 1-2 hours when you lower or raise your head to relieve muscle tension. |
